Just another example of one of our supposed allies in our righteous fight against Islamists.

The rapists were sentenced to jail terms that varied from 10 months to 5 years. The alleged original kidnapper and blackmailer got lashes for being in the car with the woman alone, not for kidnapping or blackmail.

Now let’s just say for the sake of argument that the woman was lying when she said she was blackmailed into the car. And let’s just say we were crazy enough to agree with that oil rich backwater nation’s law against women being in the same car with a man other than their husband. Don’t you think her being raped 14 times would have been enough for them to just let her go? One of the judges said that she was lucky not to have received jail time. Of course we know, that judge and none of the judges were women. Saudi Arabia sets the example for all the other backwater Islamic nations you know!

Pray for God’s mercy on us. Because our troops are out there fighting and praying for God’s protection while we have allies like these. I want our guys to win, but from my POV the slate of enemies and allies is a little different from the one quoted to us by the Bush Administration.
