   It is CLEAR that most people do not have the wisdom or intellect to understand the strength of the President’s statement. When he said soldiers lives were wasted he did NOT call them a waste. He was merely stating they died senseless deaths and their valuable lives were wasted by being taken without just cause. They died in a needless war when they could have continued to live on. PAY ATTENTION people and stop LOOKING for reasons to discredit people by your own ignorance. He stated fact. Their young lives were wasted on a battle field unnecessarily as they had no real reason to risk their lives for the cause in which they died. PLEASE exercise wisdom before making adolescent comments in a feeble attempt to sound educated and wise. You are making yourselves look foolish, while clearly displaying your reality of ignorance. You may want to refrain from trying to translate a language you cannot speak. HOW you got JIBBERISH out of a clear and concise speech is BEYOND me.

   Do you not realize that Obama himself apologized for that statement?

   Stumbling out of the gate, Sen. Barack Obama said in his first presidential campaign news conference that the lives of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq were “wasted.” He quickly retracted the statement, and later apologized to anybody he offended.
   …
   Obama says he immediately realized he had made a mistake. Like other war critics, he has been careful to praise U.S. troops and say nothing that would sound unsupportive. ”I was actually upset with myself when I said that, because I never use that term,” he told the Des Moines Register. ”Their sacrifices are never wasted. . . . What I meant to say was those sacrifices have not been honored by the same attention to strategy, diplomacy and honesty on the part of civilian leadership that would give them a clear mission.”

   He was asked Monday whether military families deserved an apology. “Well as I said, it is not at all what I intended to say, and I would absolutely apologize if any of them felt that in some ways it had diminished the enormous courage and sacrifice that they’d shown.

   So Obama has fully apologized and noted his statement as a mistake. It’s time you move on from this. This post is a year old today and you’ve come to try and start a stir over something even the speaker said was an inappropriate choice of words.

   The man won the election and you’re coming here to raise a stir over a matter that is now a year old. Everybody else has moved on to other things and I suggest you do the same.
