On September 11, 2001 American Airlines flights 11 and 175 were hijacked after leaving Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts. As we all know, the hijackers were murderous followers of of “pure Islam” under orders from Osama bin Laden, who flew the planes into the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York City. In hindsight it was apparent that American Airlines had lax security at Logan Airport. Given the terrorist attacks, it only makes sense that the airline would go above and beyond, in order to protect the lives of all Americans from another terrorist attack. Where their airliners might be used as weapons of mass destruction. Especially the people who work for the airline at Logan Airport!
Well now for stepping up security, American Airlines has been hit with a $400,000 jury verdict in a racial profiling civil suit. All because they saw some guys with actions they had reservations about and denied them service. Never mind that the airline flies plenty of Middle Eastern looking people on a daily basis, like all other airlines. Just because they kept one particular person off the plane who decided to make a court case out of it they’ve been forced to pay him hundreds of thousands of dollars. They refunded his airfare when they denied him service and I say that was payment enough!

The far Left group Public Citizen paid Cerqueira’s legal fees, in this Liberal shake down of the highest order, that’ my opinion. A far Left group found a person with a racial profiling complaint and a jury that puts Liberal dogma above National Security, in order to hit up an airline for bucks. Sure Cerqueira wins the case, but the lawyers and Public Citizen get lots of PR and future funds for their time in the spotlight.
While all the Liberals walk away claiming victory, so do America’s enemies. Because now American Airlines will further second guess their security efforts and possibly once again fall prey to terrorists like those on 9/11/2001. (I say further second guess themselves because the government already imposes fines on airlines regarding who they question, that make airlines second guess their security efforts.)
You knew about the dangers of the ACLU, but you better watch out for Public Citizen. They were founded in 1971 by Ralph Nader.
Hat tip to Drudge for the news article.
