In this previous post I mentioned a photo of US Senator John Kerry that was going around. It was of him in Iraq at a mess hall looking pretty lonely. Michelle Malkin has found reports that indicate Kerry was having a private conversation with a couple of reporters and Kerry fans say that is why he was at a table with so few people.

This still leaves some interesting thoughts in my head:

• There is talk of him choosing a table with no other people, but no talk of him needing to turn away people from trying to sit with him. This is because the troops still say they didn’t want to sit with him in the first place.
• Kerry went to the mess hall and instead of wanting to try and eat with the troops he used the time for media related purposes. Maybe because he knew the troops didn’t want to spend time with him.
• I doubt that someone the troops like would have been able to easily have a private conversation in the mess hall.
• None of the Kerry fans is refuting that nobody showed up for Kerry’s press conference the night before and that’s probably why he knew nobody wanted to eat with him and he setup the “private” meeting in a mess hall.

So Kerry is still a loser and the troops still don’t like him. Kerry fans can cry about the picture all they want, but the fact that troops don’t wish to have Kerry as their Commander-in-Chief remains the same. Kerry might try and run for President again in 2008. Let’s see if he tries to make a run to Iraq then.
