So this morning I tuned into a few minutes of NBC’s Meet the Press, because I saw Joseph Biden was on and I was in the mood to hear a Liberal say something really stupid. It’s like a form of tragic comedy for me .

It’s all the same to Biden.

It didn’t take long for Biden to exceed my expectations, when he was asked about the hanging of Saddam and the related taunting, Biden said:

It was Abu Ghraib again.

How this man can equate interrogating the enemy in ways that I feel never should have become public, but are more effective than some are willing to admit, to ridding the world of a tyrannical dictator is beyond me. The two events are far from the same. Although Muslims across Iraq were upset about the situation at Abu Ghraib, many Muslims were literally dancing in the streets at the news of Saddam’s death.

Now granted I don’t like hearing people cheer the death of one tyrant by yelling the name of another who should also be hung (Muqtada al-Sadr). However it’s pretty loony to compare it to Abu Ghraib. And I’m sure Biden would be upset if al-Sadr got the same treatment as Saddam.

Senator Lindsey Graham was also asked about Saddam’s hanging and gave a better response.

The way the hanging occurred was a setback, but whatever taunt he received on the day of his death pales in comparison with the way he treated his own people.

To me the “setback” is that they traded one nut (Saddam) to claim loyalty to another (al-Sadr).

I’m not a fan of Senator Graham, but he’s got his head on straighter than Biden.
