Well I must start by saying I’m glad she choose life for the baby despite whatever I might think of her. Because I although I think she’s a liar, I feel she probably does love her children, despite the fact her actions will cause them to have to grow up knowing about this mess.

Tonight FoxNews reported (via Greta Van Susteren) that the accuser in the Duke lacrosse rape case just gave birth in the last “day or so”. Today is exactly 9 months to the day of that early morning of March 14, when the accuser left the Duke lacrosse players’ house and claimed she was raped.

Well the DNA tests already confirmed none of them are the daddy!

Greta spoke with the accuser’s cousin today, who did not know whether the baby was born yet. But Greta got confirmation from the accuser’s father, mother, grandmother and aunt that a baby has been born. I guess the big question with so much DNA from men not related to this case being found in and on the accuser is, “who’s the daddy”? And regarding that I don’t feel sorry for the accuser, because she obviously decided to sleep around, but I feel sorry for the child who will have a hard time identifying his own father! Who knew, back when I thought about this, that it might be all too much of a reality in this case.

Regarding the fact we now know DNA from 5 other men were found in and on the accuser, we have heard the claim of 5 men before. Remember, the accuser originally said she was raped by 5 men! Hmmmm… But the DNA of the 5 men found on and inside of her don’t match any Duke lacrosse player or even the man she was supposedly in a committed relationship with.

Hey I just think she’s a liar, so nothing is very much of a surprise for me at this point.

Now back to the matter of this baby

I gathered together clips of the FoxNews report and interview with the accuser’s cousin. These are just short clips from a report that was about 15 minutes long. I captured the items related to the matter of the baby, because that’s about all I felt was new in this matter.

update 12/15/2006 1:20PM: Greta just said on FoxNews that Nifong said in court today that the accuser is still pregnant and the baby is due in February. Apparently the accuser is so far removed from her family that many of them thought she had already delivered the baby, but apparently she has not.
