Tennessee’s US Senator elect, Republican Bob Corker is preparing to fill Bill Frist’s shoes perfectly. He’s even starting to float statements used by those who endorse amnesty programs. Although Corker repeatedly said he was against all forms of amnesty during his campaign. He also said he was against Bush’s guest worker program as well.

Q: Do you support the immigration plan backed by President Bush that includes a guest worker program and paths to citizenship?

A: I do not. … It grants amnesty. There’s a piece of some legislation that Sen. (John) Cornyn has put forth that actually would cause people who’ve been here illegally to return home, to their home countries, and come back through legal channels. And I think that’s a much more appropriate way of dealing with the issue. … Certainly for that to work, obviously, there has to be a tremendous amount of bureaucracy dealt with in the immigration process. I understand that. That’s a major component of causing our immigration system to work the way it needs to work.

But now Bob Corker says:

We need to find a way for those who are already here to find a way to become citizens.

He has not even taken his oath of office yet and just like was exposed during the TN Republican Primary, Corker again proves he is not really a Conservative. I hope you who voted for Corker are happy to stab yourselves in the back! Living here in TN I know you had other choices to choose from. All you had to do was check your sample ballots and research based on your convictions. Instead of accepting the 2 ducks the political parties tossed your way and put their political weight behind.
