No not all illegal aliens are doing these things, but allowing the unrestrained flood allows this at the exact same time. Can’t have one without the other. So if you support illegal immigration you do, de facto, support the importation of sex slaves.

Also, no one has mentioned this so I will. The name of the Statue Of Liberty is “Liberty Enlightening The World.” the thing you mentioned was a poem for a fund raising contest to build the base of the statue. The original idea was that other nations would seek the same ideals so they could live in liberty themselves, not dump their excess population here.

To the best of my knowledge people aren’t starving to death in Mexico. Can you show me different? And on that idea, what is your excuse pre-nafta for why Mexico was a screwed up country? They have been sending illegal aliens here for over a hundred years, you did know that, right?

As a native New Yorker I guess I missed the “Give me your pediophiles yearning for little sex-slaves” part of the Statue of Liberty.

My parents, wife and in-laws came here legally and properly. They didn’t jump line they had to pass health screening and prove that they would not be a burden to this country.

They also came from a country of terrible poverty we still have family members who are trying to get here. Why can others wait in line?

Why must we allow people to ignore our boarders but use fake IDs false S.S. numbers, drive without licenses or auto insurance?

Any of those things would land an American citizen in jail.

All I ask is that they go through the same process that my family had to and still HAS to go through.

Is that not fair?

No offense Donn, but you speak from a great deal of ignorance. You need to read a bit more here and do more study before commenting.

I am a native New Yorker. We have something called the Statue of Liberty. You know the inscription at the base? “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free…” If people like you do not believe those words, we should give France back Lady Liberty. Those words, however, mean something to me. I want to live in the America that people in other countries used to 9and some still do) dream about. I have no problem with amnesty because (smile…) it’s the kind, compassionate thing to do. Even though I am not a Christian, I know it’s the Christian thing to do. And there are many Christians who agree with me. Sure, there are some who do not, like those who run the web site for example. And hey, you have the right to not be compassionate if you want. Yes, the story of the 13 year old girl is tragic and those who harmed he should bear responsibility. But to depict ALL people who migrate here from Mexico as rapists or terrorists is ludicrous and plain ignorant.

Lastly, I live here in California which used to be Mexico by the way. The reality is that the bones of Mexicans’ ancestors are underneath us in this land that they lived on for centuries upon centuries. But now, when they come back to this land of their forefathers they are considered the “aliens”. Interesting…

Now we have these illegal aliens adding to our prison population in record numbers and committing some of the most heinous crimes. This story should be front page news!

Lets face it the bulk of the illegal alien problem is not coming from Germany or Haiti it’s coming from Mexico! And the Mexican gangs have more control over the illegal alien invasion than our US government does.

I hope the next President will attack this problem as a security and health issuse and not a humanitarian or diplomatic one. I’ve given up on Bush ever seeing the light on this illegal alien problem. He’s too cosy with the Mexican government for my tastes.
