Court documents say that in August 2005 Perfecto went to the girl’s family of farm laborers in a rural area of Mexico. She told them that Mendez, her boyfriend, could help the girl get a job as a waitress in a Nashville restaurant.She assured the girl’s family that she would make enough money to send some back home.
Perfecto, authorities said, told the girl that she and Mendez would have to pay smugglers $3,000 to get her into the United States and that she would have to repay that once she started working.
Perfecto and the teenager were captured twice by the U.S. Border Patrol but eventually were able to make it to the United States. Once in Nashville, she met Mendez and was taken to an apartment at 5099 Linbar Drive.
There, court documents allege, Mendez raped her and threatened to kill her family if she did not work as a prostitute. She was 14 at the time.
The girl told investigators that she was a virgin when she arrived in Nashville and described the rape as very painful.
Two weeks later, court documents say, Mendez took her to a Kentucky brothel and forced her to have sex with 14 people on the first day. Afterward she was sick with a headache and severe pelvic inflammation and had to be hospitalized for several days.
Mendez let her rest for two weeks after her release from the hospital but then forced her to work as a prostitute in Nashville, Knoxville, Memphis, Birmingham, Ala., and other cities, the federal documents say.

Our border patrol was able to nab them twice, but like all illegals they just keep coming because it’s too easy to try and try again.
This girl was in the hospital for days and nobody figured it out. If a teenager is in the hospital with pelvic inflammation, some cops need to look into that. The hospitals should have to BY LAW forward this kind of information about children admitted into hospitals to law enforcement. So what if it turns out to be some kid that is loose in the pants. It should be checked out. I’m sure if any female has pelvic inflammation to the point of having to be hospitalized for days, she told somebody to stop whatever they were doing! At the very least we should be checking this out when it involves children.
Given the girl is not here legally, if illegals were denied medical services it would be harder to run a prostitution ring in this state. Because the ring leaders know they’d be asked for legitimate ID at hospitals, they would want to carry their ugly enterprise elsewhere. Nobody wants to be caught with a hurt girl laying up in their apartment.
This is the first case of an underage girl caught up in the mess here. But don’t go thinking she will be the last.
Why don’t all the Liberals that cry for open borders consider cases like this and join Conservatives in efforts to close our borders to illegal entry?

Our politicans (repubs and demos) like to downplay the damage the illegal aliens are doing to this country. Our press also does us a grave disservice by not running stories on the increased cases of tuberculosis and Lord knows what else we and our school children are exposed to. There is a reason why we must control the influx of people coming to this country! For reasons of security and HEALTH we must control access to this country.
Now we have these illegal aliens adding to our prison population in record numbers and committing some of the most heinous crimes. This story should be front page news!
Lets face it the bulk of the illegal alien problem is not coming from Germany or Haiti it’s coming from Mexico! And the Mexican gangs have more control over the illegal alien invasion than our US government does.
I hope the next President will attack this problem as a security and health issuse and not a humanitarian or diplomatic one. I’ve given up on Bush ever seeing the light on this illegal alien problem. He’s too cosy with the Mexican government for my tastes.

This crime was so horrible that it was a top story with the Tennessean newspaper. And they favor the illegals in much of there coverage. Notice they never actually said the word “illegals” or “aliens” in the story.

…right, so now I am suppose to fear all Mexicans coming to the U.S. to work, right? Now they are ALL bad people and this generalization is now justified, right? The FACT is the vast majority of people who come into this country, (yes, some sneaking in because they simply cannot wait five to ten years; their children will have starved to death by then)from many other countries (not just Mexico) is because they want to provide better lives for their families. The NAFTA agreement between the U.S. and Mexico is lopsided. The Mexican market is flooded with cheap U.S. products and the Mexican farmers can’t compete. Just like mo and poop stores in the U.S. can’t compete with Wal-Mart. So they risk their lives to come ohere to WORK and send money home. If I were them and I coul dnot work in my own country because the economy was so bad, I WOULD DO THE SAME TO FEED MY FAMILY. WOULDN’T YOU? What, you don’t love your family enough to risk going across a desert, swimming across a river, or subjecting youself to the mercies or “coyotes,” people who sneak others across the border (these are the people who usually are doing the raping of mexican women and/or they take full advantage of the people they are supposedly helping)
I am a native New Yorker. We have something called the Statue of Liberty. You know the inscription at the base? “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free…” If people like you do not believe those words, we should give France back Lady Liberty. Those words, however, mean something to me. I want to live in the America that people in other countries used to 9and some still do) dream about. I have no problem with amnesty because (smile…) it’s the kind, compassionate thing to do. Even though I am not a Christian, I know it’s the Christian thing to do. And there are many Christians who agree with me. Sure, there are some who do not, like those who run the web site for example. And hey, you have the right to not be compassionate if you want. Yes, the story of the 13 year old girl is tragic and those who harmed he should bear responsibility. But to depict ALL people who migrate here from Mexico as rapists or terrorists is ludicrous and plain ignorant.
Lastly, I live here in California which used to be Mexico by the way. The reality is that the bones of Mexicans’ ancestors are underneath us in this land that they lived on for centuries upon centuries. But now, when they come back to this land of their forefathers they are considered the “aliens”. Interesting…

DonnSwaby, lets start with your talk about “Christian thing to do”. Don’t you know that all the nations to ever follow God had borders that they protected? The inscription on the bottom of Lady Liberty is over an immigration station for legal immigrants. The words are not for illegals and no nation can handle uncontrolled access. America gives plenty to Mexico via private funding and allows plenty in legally. So no, the illegals should not be allowed in. We can’t take all their problems this quickly. They need to be helped in Mexico. To bring them here only covers the corruption in Mexico.
CA was surrendered by Mexico in a legally binding treaty. You need to read this post.

As a native New Yorker I guess I missed the “Give me your pediophiles yearning for little sex-slaves” part of the Statue of Liberty.
My parents, wife and in-laws came here legally and properly. They didn’t jump line they had to pass health screening and prove that they would not be a burden to this country.
They also came from a country of terrible poverty we still have family members who are trying to get here. Why can others wait in line?
Why must we allow people to ignore our boarders but use fake IDs false S.S. numbers, drive without licenses or auto insurance?
Any of those things would land an American citizen in jail.
All I ask is that they go through the same process that my family had to and still HAS to go through.
Is that not fair?

Couple of things.
No not all illegal aliens are doing these things, but allowing the unrestrained flood allows this at the exact same time. Can’t have one without the other. So if you support illegal immigration you do, de facto, support the importation of sex slaves.
Also, no one has mentioned this so I will. The name of the Statue Of Liberty is “Liberty Enlightening The World.” the thing you mentioned was a poem for a fund raising contest to build the base of the statue. The original idea was that other nations would seek the same ideals so they could live in liberty themselves, not dump their excess population here.
To the best of my knowledge people aren’t starving to death in Mexico. Can you show me different? And on that idea, what is your excuse pre-nafta for why Mexico was a screwed up country? They have been sending illegal aliens here for over a hundred years, you did know that, right?
