Uncle Tom Bill passed this one to me. Check out this blogger’s findings while working in South Korea. (Excuse some of his harsh language.)
Yea and who has troops on that DMZ and died to keep them from becoming the southern half of a Communist nation? They sure didn’t do it by themselves. There are American troops who are Black, White and most every other race putting their lives literally on the line (DMZ) every day for the South Koreans. While being trashed in South Korean advertising and entertainment.
And they don’t offer a good view of Japanese and Vietnamese either. In the case of the Vietnamese it appears there might be some actual human trafficking going on.

The naked bigotry of the Koreans is no suprise given their near mono-ethnic culture. Many Asian mono-ethnic countries share similar bigoted views of people from different races/cultures.
Personally I couldn’t care less what others think of me or black people in general, so long as they are not driven to act on those feelings.

If our troops were not defending their lives we probably could ignore their ignorance. But our troops are defending them and living in their society. As that blogger mentioned in a different post, what happens when say a Black troop is accused of a crime?
Our troops deserve more respect from these people they are defending.

You are correct about our troops protecting their country with their lives. I wish this were not so, I would rather see us park a carrier off their shore and be ready to bomb them to oblivion if/when the North decides to make its move.
They should be more sensitive to the Americas who buy their crap (wouldn’t touch a Korean car anyway) and protect their homeland.
