Usually when I add a new blog to the blogroll I don’t say much about it. And I’ll tell you, before I add one I usually spend days, weeks, sometimes months eying that blog. I take an addition to my blogroll as my gold standard endorsement, that you can trust the information there about as much as my own. I set the bar very high and if I don’t think the blog lines up well with my personal standards I won’t add them. This is why sites like the Drudge Report will never have a permanent link in my blogroll or links section. Because men that just happen to like gay clubs won’t be getting any mentions beyond maybe a reference of credit in a post for a noteworthy story. Not that I agree with every word of every blog in my blogroll, but I’m basically saying that they are blogs that I feel are the best of the best.

But today, I found a blog that I’m adding to the blogroll right now and I so strongly recommend you check it out that I’ve decided to make a full post about it. The blog is named Pulpit Pimps and is devoted to exposing the mess I’ve tried to point out in posts like this and this.

And in his latest post Melvin Jones tells it straight about pastors who link up with Farra-the-Con (Louis Farrakhan) and pastors who link with others they know have been duped by Farra-the-Con, for the money and the fame. Melvin pulls no punches and does not lighten his blows once he’s got a pimp on the ropes!

Like me, this brother calls it straight because he decided to do something very daring one day. To sit down, read the Bible and actually believe the words in the Bible as opposed to the mess coming from pimps standing in front of a choir loft! There are good churches out there, but beware of the Pulpit Pimps.
