Because it gives every nut an opportunity to feel like somebody. Even nuts that wish to dress up like Muslim terrorists! I just found out about this madness from Michelle Malkin’s blog. Blog Democracy Project has all the details. I’ve got a couple of pictures below that I found there.

The first picture above is of some Penn: University of Pennsylvania students dressed like terrorists and pretending to kill a hostage. The 2nd picture is of one of the dress up terrorist, who just happens to have spent time in Syria, with the school’s President, Dr. Amy Gutmann!!! The pictures are from her annual Halloween costume party.

Winfield Myers says all that needs to be said about this one:

An obvious question: would Gutmann have posed with a guest–or even allowed him into her house–if he’d dressed as Adolf Hitler or a Nazi SS officer? A KKK member?

But in modern liberal circles, posing as a Palestinian suicide bomber (see his kefiya) is just fine. After all, he mainly tries to kill innocent Jews.

And what would have happened if some students depicted the events at Abu Ghraib? We know the Islamists front groups would take offense and they probably would press for the students’ expulsion. While an untold number of threats and violent acts might spread across the globe in response.

Although I have not participated in Halloween since I was a child and first learned of its history, Christine at TalkWisdom has me thinking I might start participating in ways like my mother has done. To make the day a tool for ministry. Because Lord knows its time for us Bible thumping Christians to alter the party.

update 11/3/2006 8:46AM: The nut even even made an online photo album. Not only did the President enjoy posing for a pic with him, the University Chaplin also posed for a pic and the nut says:

The university chaplian and I. Yes we have a chaplian. He prays during convocation and graduation. He is a big fan of my costume.

(I wonder if he would have used lower case if he was typing the word “Imam”?)

I don’t think the Chaplin understands that this is not a laughing matter. Of course that Chaplin who is also a Black man, like all us Black folks would be really ticked if that nut dressed like a Klansman or did some Blackface. Oh but Muslim terrorist is A-OK with the Black Chaplin. Never mind all the Blacks enslaved and Christians living a 2nd class status in Muslim controlled parts of the world .

It seems not everyone liked his costume and he was kicked out of one party.

Some frat (from the house across DU) dudes at this party didn’t like our costumes so they kicked us out. We got them back… mwa ha ha ha.

Well at least somebody had their head on straight.
