It’s a better plan than I’m hearing from the politicians. A big hat tip to reader Chip for alerting me to this. Last Thursday night Dr. Michael Savage detailed a plan he devised for rescuing America from the current threats outside and within the nation.

He says that he devised this plan while preparing dinner, with assistance from his “kitchen Cabinet”, which consisted of his dog Teddy, Plato, Moses, Jesus, John Locke, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, George Patton and God. (Of course Jesus is God, who came to Earth in flesh, but we won’t belabor that point in this post.) He also had a bottle of Bordeaux with him in the kitchen. I’m sure the bottle helped him imagine all the figures he thought were in his kitchen with him and his dog, but the plan sounds good to even me a sober man who never drank. If a political candidate ran on it with sincerity, I’d vote for them!

Below is Savage’s plan in bold text, along with my comments.

Domestic Policy
• Cut Federal Income Taxes by 2% per year, for 4 years for a minimum total of 8% over 4 years.

  Excellent!

• Reduce Federal Government departments by 4% each year, for a total reduction of 16% over 4 years.

  Bravo!

• No public assistance for the able bodied and no public assistance for immigrants for 5 years. Repatriate immigrants not working after 2 years.

  Love it!

• Tariffs on all cars on trucks from foreign companies, even if manufactured in America.

  Yes!

• Have illegals build a wall between Mexico and America. Then repatriate them. Pay them a one time worker fee.

  I’d like to have Americans build it, but I could live with them building the wall to keep themselves out as long as we make sure they do it right.

• Increase pay for active duty combat troops by 10%.

  Good! Also servicemen injured or killed on secret missions should get full benefits as if they were in war.

• Fire any unmarried military person that becomes pregnant on active duty.

  Like it.

• Make abortions illegal, except when the physical survival of the mother is threatened. To be determined by 3 medical doctors.

  Love it!

  
  Require Norplant for all women on welfare of child bearing age.

  I’m not a fan forced contraception, but with this as part of a total package plan with the rest I’d vote for any candidate willing to implement the total plan. I know I can’t have it all the way I want .

• Close all houses of sex and message.

  Good.

• Expand the DEA while decriminalizing most drugs.

  I’m not a fan of decriminalization efforts. Anyway, as part of a total plan I could live with it better than the total plans offered by politicians that run for President.

• Eliminate all foreign ownership of any American media entity.

  OK.

  Break up overly large conglomerates like News Corporation.

  I’m not one who tries to break up ever large company I see, but as part of the total plan I could live with it.

• Encourage child bearing among tax paying citizens. Create a marriage incentive through lower taxes for married heterosexual couples and a government subsidy for each child conceived and carried to birth. Increase the subsidies for each year the couple remains married.

  This is unheard of. Giving people increases in money for doing something good. Let’s try it!

• Repatriate all illegals in prison and encourage all others to self repatriate through double taxation on wages and fines on employers.

  Good.

International Policy

• Iraq:

  Cordon off the Sunni Triangle, give the people 72 hours to leave and reduce the entire sector to rubble with an aerial campaign. Send Iraqi troops in to mop up pockets of resistance. Emphasis on “Iraqi troops in to mop up pockets of resistance”.

  What’s to stop the terrorists from leaving too? Oh, but I guess that’s the idea . Either they leave or die! And this might need to be fine tuned, so it’s not just an effort that results in bombing hostages tied up who can’t leave. But I like the concept. I really like it, I just want to be sure the plan is effective.

  Divide Iraq into 4 sectors, Sunni, Shia, Kurd and international.

  Lots of folks are into these carve up plans. I’m not a big fan of this idea, but as part of the total plan I’m fine with it.

  Remove all US troops after above is achieved.

  Of course. And in the future just nuke areas that don’t want to act right.

• Iran: Sanctions, embargoes and mine their harbors. Nothing goes in, nothing comes out.

  Good. If it leads to war, I say break out the nukes.

• North Korea: Destroy their launching pads. Impose a naval blockade on all goods going in or out except food.

  I’ve already covered this a couple of times. So see those other posts for my thoughts. But any candidate even will to go this far would get my vote.

• Israel, Arab entities: Give Israel 4 years to become self sufficient, cut off all aid to foreign nations.

  I like this, but it presents one issue. Jimmy Carter had Israel give up oil in his old peace plan and that cost Israel some self sufficiency. Which is why the USA sends them money. Israel may have found more oil, but it might not be enough. I like the idea, but because of Carter’s deeds this might create some major headache’s for Israel. Just the same I think Israel could manage, so I’m in agreement with this.

• China:
  20% tariffs on all China made goods, rising by 5% each year, for each year China refuses to revalue their currency.

  Good.

• United Nations: Withdraw immediately, remove all diplomats and staff, convert the UN building into housing for the working poor.

  Great!

• Mexico: Force Mexico to pay 1 barrel of oil for every illegal alien in the USA, per month.

  Love it!
