Michael Savage on North Korea (Audio)

by @ 12:00 pm. Filed under Audio, Terrorism and War

Last night Dr. Michael Savage was about the only one I found saying what comes close to my thoughts on North Korea. Because he’s the only one I found fully advocating some form of pre-emptive strike, instead of sitting around watching Kim Jong-il build more nukes and sell them to our enemies. Savage also exposed how our Congress knew years ago that this problem was coming and still has not taken action to stop it.

U.S. Aid Helps N. Korea Build Nukes, Congress Told

(CNSNews.com) - North Korea’s nuclear production capacity will increase from a dozen nuclear bombs a year to 65 a year by 2010, thanks in large part to American taxpayer money, two renowned U.S. nuclear scientists told congressional leaders last week.

North Korea observers have long suspected the communist dictatorship is using Western humanitarian aid to starving North Koreans to feed Kim Jong Il’s million-man army.

But an aid policy initiated by the Clinton administration in the mid-1990s to finance two light water nuclear reactors in North Korea puts the isolated communist country on the fast track in the manufacture of nuclear weapons, William R. Graham and Victor Gilinsky told members of the House Policy Committee.

North Korea’s missile proliferation has accelerated dramatically since the Clinton-Gore administration began giving aid to the regime in 1994.

“There were no known No-dong missile sales abroad until after the United States signed the so-called Agreed Framework with North Korea,” House Speaker Dennis Hastert’s North Korea advisory group reported.

But since U.S. aid began, the communist state has sold crucial technology to Iran for the Shahab missile that now threatens U.S. forces and their allies in the Middle East, and for a Pakistani missile in 1998 that disrupted the fragile stability of South Asia.

I’d love for someone to ask Bill Clinton about that in an interview!

Savage mentioned that the former US Secretary of State during the Clinton Administration, Madeleine Korbel Albright (aka “half-bright”) legitimized Kim Jong Il by visiting him. Which gave the nut more political leverage. He also held Sandy Berger responsible, given he was the National Security Advisor at the time.

He also mentioned and it’s true, that the Democrats are not equipped to deal with this. Some Democrats even support the enemy. Whether or not they do it intentionally is debatable. Also the present administration of President George W. Bush can’t control North Korea either! Both Democrats and Republicans have not shown that they can manage the threat posed by a nut who now has nukes, that he claims to have successfully tested.

There is talk of sanctions, but I agree with Savage. Sanctions do nothing against a nation full of people already living in total poverty. So you block the sea ways, it won’t matter! He and those he wants to sell arms to will still move the arms and nuclear material at will. Attempts to block their transactions will fail.

So Savage offers a 3 point plan. Below are the points of his plan in bold type and my comments. Given although Savage comes closest to agreeing with me, even he and I don’t fully agree on how to handle this threat. But at least we both can agree some form of immediate military response is required. Not meetings with the global debating club of thugs (aka the UN) and sanctions.

Bottom line, North Korea is trying to hold up the USA for more lunch money. To keep the people in North Korea quiet, to build more weapons to use for future blackmail and to sell to our enemies.
