Michael Savage Rips Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Promotes Boycott of Citgo! (Audio)

by @ 3:43 pm. Filed under Audio, Terrorism and War

Well I already told you that I never buy from Citgo! And now Dr. Michael Savage is saying that nobody should. Of course I’m in full agreement, given I personally boycotted them since hearing the mouth of Hugo Chavez.

Yesterday Dr. Savage did a double rip on Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez and Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He also covered how Iran is arming Venezuela with missiles that can reach the USA! Are you ready for a Venezuelan missile crisis?

Iran’s Terror-cum-Intelligence Networks Thrown across Three Continents

DEBKAfile’s Iranian sources report that Ahmadinejad also talked persuasively to Chavez about making a show of deploying a few Iranian-made 2,000-km range Shahab-3 missiles – first in Venezuela then in Cuba – as a menace to the United States.

Ironically, the USA is Venezuela’s largest trading partner.

Savage also mentioned Jimmy Carter’s terrible job in monitoring Venezuela’s elections.

Carter’s Comedown

Some Venezuelan papers even reported that the paper records of the votes were found in rivers and vacant lots.

Given such questions, why would the Carter Center so quickly confirm the official vote count of Mr. Chavez’s election commission and recommend that Secretary Powell accept the official results? As Venezuelan journalist Fabiola Zerpa asked, “Why did it rush to back the results? Why couldn’t it wait a day or two until all the results were ready and the auditing process was finished?”

One reason is because the two institutions entrusted with certifying the Venezuelan referendum - the Carter Center and the Organization of American States - agreed to ridiculous restrictions for their monitors. Mr. Chavez, for example, limited the number of actual monitors to 120 in a country of 25 million. Under Mr. Chavez’s rules, none of the monitors was allowed to comment on the process leading up to the August 15 election. Also, the monitors had to be accompanied by members of the state’s election commission, whose final assessment both the OAS and the Carter Center had to agree not to criticize. These conditions were so restrictive and negotiated so close to the election day that the European Union did not even agree to send their monitors.

The August 21 report from the Carter Center on the election fails, incredibly, to make any mention of these restrictive conditions.

He mentioned that no Jewish US Senator has protested Mahmoud Ahmadinejad coming to the USA and that Iranians’ protest outside of the UN building was not covered by the MSM.

Dr. Savage requested in his opening yesterday, that his advocacy of the Citgo boycott be promoted on the Internet. Of course I am more than happy to help. So I’ve included his opening, that contains all of this in the audio file linked below.

Some people are making claims that a successful boycott of Citgo will end up putting Americans who work for the company out of work. I think the claims of putting Citgo employees out of work are a bit short sighted. If Citgo started doing very poorly in America, an American based oil company would be able to buy the American based portion of the company for a cheap price. Citgo gas station owners could find another company to work with, although they will endure some transitional pains.

If I was a Citgo employee, I’d be looking for another job, simply because I would not want to be associated with Hugo Chavez and know he’s behind my paycheck. Let Citgo sell their product to other nations. So what if it’s China. Chavez certainly is not working in the best interest of America, so it’s foolish to consider continually funding his nation with US dollars. And I have made it known before that I am no fan of our trade with nations like China. Although it’s nearly impossible to avoid products made in China and at least their leaders work against us with some level of civility.

What’s next, should we all buy books written by Liberals, because some book company might go out of business if we don’t? The beauty of a market based financial system, is that if one company goes under a new company will come along to take its place and make new jobs.
