NBC Says Trashing Jesus is Cool, Promoting God is Bad.

More solid proof that networks like NBC are full of Liberal Christian haters. On one hand, they are going to broadcast Madonna mocking Christ.

Drudge: NBC PLANS MADONNA CRUCIFIXION IN TV CONCERT

NBC has given the green light to include Madonna-on-the-Cross footage in an upcoming November Sweeps concert special!

If you are into a cult like Kabbalah and wish to mock Christ, NBC has room for your garbage, no edits required.

On the other hand, if you’re a successful Christian DVD series trying to get on their network. Check the talk of God at the door. NBC wants to make money off you, but no positive messages referencing God or the Bible are allowed.

Sliced and diced ‘Veggie Tales’ By L. Brent Bozell III

Maybe you’re familiar with the computer-animated cartoon “Veggie Tales,” a video series targeted at children ages 2 to 8, and which features moral and religious tales hosted by Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber. Beginning in 1993, the series was distributed on VHS tapes, telling biblical stories like the Battle of Jericho, David and Goliath and the tale of the Good Samaritan. Each show ended with a Bible verse.

And it’s been a marketing phenomenon.

Eventually, someone in Tinseltown saw the commercial possibilities. Now, the news breaks that NBC (as well as NBC-owned Telemundo) will begin showing “Veggie Tales” cartoons on Saturday mornings for the new fall season.

But here is what should be news. The early word from producers is that NBC has grown increasingly fierce about editing something out of “Veggie Tales” — those apparently unacceptable, insensitive references to God and the Bible.

(The above write-up is best read in full.)

Also, remember that ratings flop NBC ran called “The Book of Daniel”, that they actually thought might go over well with Christians?

And remember who I mentioned was behind that garbage.

Because of the stance of the church against the gay lifestyle, nobody should be surprised that the newest filth on TV named The Book Of Daniel was started by a gay man, that was upset the church would not accept his sin. (In that case it happened to be the Catholic Church, although the show is supposed to involve an Episcopal priest.)

Now of course, Christians are not out burning peacocks in effigy. We’re not calling for the head of anyone for insulting our faith repeatedly. But we know what would happen if they did this mess to something like the cult known as Islam. Christians need not launch attacks as orthodox/radical Muslims would do over this. Because frankly, the Christian faith is superior to the cult of Islam. We Christians know that this is part of a spiritual warfare, that is not fought with physical violence, but rather through speaking the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, girded with the whole armor of God. As Paul wrote.

Ephesians 6:12-19 (New King James Version)

12) For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

13) Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14) Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

15) and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16) above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

17) And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

18) praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints?

19) and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Christians don’t try to kill people who insult our faith, because we know our God reigns despite what those who mock the Lord broadcast. You don’t see any known evangelical minister calling for laws to prevent insults against the Christian faith. But you can’t insult Islam in the Muslim lands that follow an orthodox brand of Islam. Their leaders have also called for the West to make laws that protect the cult of Islam from insults outside of Muslim lands. OK enough about that cult, but given how they continually are showing their true nature on the news I had to bring it up.

Now, although Christians would never consider violence over something like this, does it make sense for Christians to continually feed this tree of garbage known as NBC? I mean, NBC has shown from its fruit that it really is evil. So should Christians continually watch NBC? I say not. Even when we watch NBC programs that don’t offend the faith, they repeatedly use the ad revenue from those shows, to find and fund new and more inventive ways to insult the faith. When are Christians going to finally turn away from NBC and understand they really work against the faith? If Christians stopped watching NBC tomorrow, the entire network would tank. NBC’s biggest problem is really not its own filth, but the fact that Christians who know the truth continue to support this network. Should the person dying from drug usage primarily blame the drug dealer or themselves? It is the same with the body of Christ (the church). If the church hurts its own health, well being and growth via supporting filth, than should we really be most upset with NBC? We need to let our own know, that they must be true to supporting the advancement of the Gospel and not network endorsed sin. NBC is giving the injection of filth and way too many people who call themselves Christians are tuning in. We have to be determined to turn away from NBC as a network. Because NBC continues to insult our faith without pause and they do it while using our viewing time of any of their shows, to increase their ad rates and fund more attacks on our faith.

So at this point, I’m not asking NBC to stop anything. They have shown the way they wish to go. I’m asking YOU to consider what networks YOU are supporting. I personally don’t watch anything regularly on NBC and anything I get from their show “Meet the Press” I get via C-Span feeds or the show’s web site. Same with any of their news exclusives that I cover here. So I can’t say I’ll stop watching NBC, because I already don’t watch the network. Even if Christians cut back on their prime-time viewing of NBC programs, it would have a major impact. I don’t think any change at NBC is up to NBC at all, it’s up to us. In an age of literally hundreds of channels at our disposal, turning off one should be easy.
