The movie The Path to 9/11 is still causing a stir. Can you imagine if Republicans in Congress spoke out against Michael Moore’s lies like this, before his garbage was released? Given media companies are regulated by the government, having government officials speak out against a movie before release is a pretty serious threat! Writer and one of the producers of The Path to 9/11, Cyrus Nowrasteh spoke with Sean Hannity yesterday. (Hannity’s show is owned by ABC/Disney and the movie will air on ABC TV.)

Some things I noted that came up during the interview:

• Mr. Nowrasteh used the 9/11 Commission report as the main source for material, along with other sources including books, magazine articles, newspapers and individuals. Like 9/11 Commission Chairman Kean.
• Nowrasteh is disappointed that the whole movie was not seen before this kind of backlash came, because only night 1 has been shown in a screening. After people see night 2, some fans of Bush might also be emotional, after seeing areas where President Bush missed opportunities to prevent the 9/11 attacks.
• Night 1 deals with the Clinton years and night 2 will deal with part of 2000 and the Bush months in the lead up to 9/11.
• Nowrasteh confirmed the movie is being edited because of political pressure!!! He even said:
  

  there is a coordinated campaign to attack the film

• He says people are coming forward to say that Pakistan was warned before the 1998 missile strikes. Countering the claims of former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
• Nowrasteh scoffs at those who claim he’s some kind of Conservative hack. He mentioned that he wrote the movie 10,000 Black Men Named George. Where the lead was Communist Union activist Asa Philip Randolph. He also wrote and directed the movie The Day Reagan Was Shot. A film that upset many Conservatives.

This interview is a historic moment, because no film in modern times has ever received this kind of political pressure against it. Any government official that spoke about this film should recuse themselves from any matters dealing with any Disney company. (Disney is the parent company of ABC.)
