Jesus Never Wants Those Who Claim to Love Him to Deny Him. (Gun Point Conversion to Islam.)

by @ 12:24 pm. Filed under Terrorism and War

So I’m always saying Islam is a sick cult. And every now and then we see the sickest parts on full display. I can’t find a video tape of a high profile non-Christian or non-Jew being kidnapped and forced to convert to either Christianity or Judaism at gun point, while text appears on screen saying:

This declaration was approved by them and they accept the faith without any pressure

With music from Mahalia Jackson or Joshua Nelson playing in the background!

No you just don’t see those kinds of things coming from Christian and Jewish nations. You know, the places better known as the “Western world”, which is the only thing that causes some Muslim nations to eventually end their barbaric acts. Oh but we see people forced to convert to or rejoin the Muslim faith by force all the time. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again folks, this happens too often to be an anomaly! People like Walid Shoebat and Brigitte Gabriel have warned us, this is the true face of Islam.

So FoxNews reporter Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig were freed, but not before being forced to accept the “religion of peace” at the point of a gun. And before them, journalist Jill Carroll was forced to wear the Muslim garb, learn about Islam and make anti-American statements like Centanni and Wiig. Hot Air has the video of Centanni and Wiig.

La Shawn Barber asks, would I deny Christ for earthly life? I say from the comforts of America, heck no. I can only pray I would be as firm in less comfortable surroundings. And I make my statement as a husband and father of 2. What example of manhood would I be showing my 2 sons, who I’m showing the faith to, if I allowed them to see me deny Christ? God expects me as a man to be the chief priest within my household. If I were to deny the Lord, it would show the worst example to my family. Better I die for the cause of Christ, than allow my family to feel Christ can be denied in moments of convenience. Not to say I’m always perfect, I’m far from that, but when put on the line at gun point I feel I should stand for Christ.

So let’s look at some Biblical perspective on this. And I must affirm, that I am not one who accepts the “once saved always saved” view, though I respect those who feel that way. I come from the staunch Pentecostal Holiness line of Christians, that feel just as a husband can love his wife and later go astray, a man can also love the Lord and later fall into wickedness and possibly miss out on heaven, but that’s ultimately for the Lord to decide. I feel people who claim Christ but live foul like Snoop Dogg and people who claim Christ then freely deny him like Don Stewart-Whyte/Abdul Waheed might very well die and open their eyes in hell. I’m not saying “I know” they will go to hell, it’s just my opinion. I’m not the final judge, God is. Of course I’ve previously explained that I now carry a view on things like speaking in tongues that is closer in line with Free Will Baptists, but I really do feel you can accept the Lord and later “backslide”, to a point where you could put yourself in a bad position come judgement. I don’t believe the Lord will allow himself to be mocked, by those who accepted him on Sunday with tears in their eyes and then run to live like the Devil the remainder of their lives.

Jesus said:

Matthew 10:32-39 (New King James Version)

32) ?Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.

33) But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

34) ?Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.

35) For I have come to ?set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law?;

36) and ?a man?s enemies will be those of his own household.?

37) He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

38) And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

39) He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

Now keep reading before you jump to conclusions. Keep in mind I didn’t say the words above, Jesus did. Jesus tells me if I put the wife and kids before him, that I’m not worthy of him. Now does this all mean that I’m assured hell if I deny Christ at the point of a gun? I can’t say so. In fact, denying Christ multiple times under direst does not necessarily mean eternal damnation. Remember Peter? He denied Christ 3 times in a single night.

Matthew 26:75 (New King James Version)

75) And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, ?Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.? So he went out and wept bitterly.

Every time I’ve read about Peter’s actions I’ve prayed that I would not act as he did. To actually see the face of the Lord performing miracles and all, then deny him is something I have a hard time understanding.

Jesus earlier said to Peter.

Matthew 16:18 (New King James Version)

18) And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

So Peter denied Christ 3 times under direst and so what did Jesus do the next time he spoke to him? He told Peter to go preach the Gospel. He did not condemn Peter for denying him 3 times.

Matthew 28:16-20 (New King James Version)

16) Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them.

17) When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

18) And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ?All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19) Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20) teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.? Amen.

Peter was one of the 11 and Jesus did not exclude him. So it is possible to deny Christ under direst and still remain a Christian. Peter knew if he told people who knew Christ he might be killed. When Jesus was taken away, his disciples were scrambling in fear. For all we know, others may have denied him before the resurrection.

But let’s keep in mind, not everybody claiming Christ will not be allowed into heaven. Jesus said this.

Matthew 7:21-29 (New King James Version)

21) ?Not everyone who says to Me, ?Lord, Lord,? shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

22) Many will say to Me in that day, ?Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name??

23) And then I will declare to them, ?I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!?

24) ?Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

25) and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26) ?But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:

27) and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.?

28) And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,

29) for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

So no I can’t agree with the view that claiming Christ once means guaranteed entry into heaven.

Now there will come a time when denying the Lord under direst will result in eternal damnation. As John explained from his visions.

Revelation 14:6-13 (New King James Version)

6) Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth?to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people?

7) saying with a loud voice, ?Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.?

8) And another angel followed, saying, ?Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.?

9) Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, ?If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand,

10) he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

11) And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.?

12) Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

13) Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, ?Write: ?Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.??
?Yes,? says the Spirit, ?that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.?

Some feel we have already reached that period, but the bottom line is this, if you never deny Christ you’ve got nothing to worry about. Those who accept the beast will have to do so, or be unable to even engage in commerce. Christians will be killed. So there will be plenty of direst during that time.

DEBKAfile has more details about the release of Centanni and Wiig. You really should read it all when you have time.

A Hostage Affair in Gaza is Ended by a Three-Part Ransom

On the face of it, conversion to Islam would appear to provide a painless escape device for any hostage who happens to fall into fundamentalist terrorist hands. After all, once free, the hostage can always revert to his real faith or non-faith. It is hard to blame the two Fox News journalists, the American Steve Centanni, 60, and the New Zealander, Olaf Wiig, 36, for taking that path on to buy their way out of an uncertain fate at the hands of Palestinian terrorists ? especially as they later reported they were forced to make the gesture at gunpoint.

And, indeed the two journalists were released from 13 days of captivity in Gaza three hours after announcing their conversion on a new videotape released by the kidnappers in Gaza.

Relief over the two journalists? coming safely out of their ordeal is quite apart from considerations of the consequences for the war on terrorism. It must be said that the Palestinian kidnappers also walked away without suffering any harm and can keep on snatching victims without fear ? exactly as the same terrorist gang got away with murdering three Americans in Gaza in 2003. In fact, the prime minister Ismail Haniya, who belongs to an Islamist terror group, was allowed to take credit for the release after winning a face saver in the form of the conversions and an anti-American diatribe.

The article details how this was cover for the issue of the kidnapping of the Israeli soldier and money was paid to the enemy as part of the release of Centanni and Wiig. So more went on than just their forced acceptance of Islam. America also once again capitulated to the enemy.

If I ever am in the situation (I Hope I never am) then I hope to have the strength to claim Jesus as my Lord and Savior…loud and proud!

Its one thing to talk the talk, quite another to walk the walk. Lord give me strength to be able to stand up and proclaim your name on all the earth.

  4. A Resonable American Conservative on the Kidnapped Fox Newsmen « Not Saussure Says:

[…] As his thoughtful and thorough survey of American bloggers’ reactions to the men’s kidnapping and release shows, this has raised all manner of questions for the American right, perhaps none more worrying than the journalists’ conversion: The gunpoint conversions of Centanni and Wiig led many bloggers to speculate what they would have done in the journalists‘ situation. Most agreed that they would have been braver. Although La Shawn Barber urged her readers not to “judge” the men, she maintained that if it had been her, she would have taken a bullet for Christ. March Hare went even further, claiming that if Muslims had threatened her children with death if she didn’t convert, she would have let her children die the way Abraham was prepared to sacrifice Isaac (or Ishmael, if Allah pulled a similar stunt in the Quran, which she wasn’t really sure about). Hopefully, God won’t ask her to sacrifice her children, but her kids might want to be extra cautious whenever they see Mommy with a knife. Independent Conservative said that he would rather die than look like a wimp in the eyes of his sons: “What example of manhood would I be showing my 2 sons, who I’m showing the faith to, if I allowed them to see me deny Christ? ” The Anchoress was less sure if she would make the “right choice” but added, “I believe I would de-capitate before I’d capitulate,” which I’m sure we all find very reassuring. Debbie Hamilton at first claimed she “probably would have done just like they did, … read that stupid statement and get the heck out’a dodge,” but later said she felt ashamed, perhaps by the courage of so many other potentially martyred bloggers, and quoted this statement from Vanishing American, which condemned the men: “While yes, we can understand their desire to survive, is their subservient behavior a good portent for the West’s chances in the struggle against Islam?”While so far there have been only two shotgun conversions that we know about, many bloggers believe that this is just the beginning of a veritable deluge of such incidents, regrettably encouraged by the capitulation of Centanni and Wiig, and something must be done to stop it. Even worse, soon Muslims will be able to carry out forced conversions on a massive scale backed up by nuclear weapons. Dan Riehl recalls Ann Coulter’s statement after September 11: “We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity.” Although he says he is opposed to this course of action and only wanted to point out how hypocritical the Left is for apparently approving of gunpoint conversions by Muslims but not Christians, I wonder if this may not be the solution to this sudden rash of forced conversions by Muslims. Maybe we should convert them at gunpoint before they convert us. Since there are one billion Muslims in the world, though, we better get started soon. […]
