Plus the call he received after being fired, that pretty much confirmed everything. He was rushed to tell the story and did not recall exactly which one. Bottom line is that after he mentioned he was Jewish he was out of a job. Which is it? Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur? One is at the beginning of the "high holy days" and the other at the end. 10 days apart. Not doubting the gist of his account, BUT we can't trumpet this as a true account if the guy can't get his facts straight. He says he asked off for one day in the Jewish High Holy Days, but can't narrow it down to a window smaller than 10 days. If he'd said EITHER Rosh Hashanah OR Yom Kippur, then I'd be all over this like flies on rice. A small quibble:
