McKinney Claims Her Detractors Will Use Race Bait to Defeat Her. People in Glass Houses…

by @ 12:01 am. Filed under Nuts on Parade

Haven’t you heard? Cynthia McKinney has a blog! And reading some of the entries on her blog will make you fall out of your chair with laughter. In her latest blog post she claims race bait will be used against her.

Cynthia’s Blog - It’s time! Refuse to Lose! - July 20, 2006

The media and money behind my opponent will do their utmost to polarize the election along racial and party lines.

Can you believe the queen of race bait in Congress is crying that racial games will be played against her :D ?…

The nutty representative of the 4th district of Georgia goes on to say:

To win, they must provoke a stampede of Republican voters to the polls on August 8th. To accomplish this, they must and will portray not just my voice, but yours too, as dangerous, unpatriotic and downright loony.

Let’s see, I know plenty of people in the 4th district who never said dangerous, unpatriotic and downright loony things like!

WORLD EXCLUSIVE: CYNTHIA MCKINNEY RECANTS ON WAOK AFTERNOON HOST ROB REDDING, AMERICA’S INDEPENDENT VOICE, RADIO PROGRAM!

Cynthia McKinney: It is clear that America had warning…and did nothing! Did nothing, to protect the lives of the people who serve in our foreign service; and who serve us in other ways in embassies around the world. And now the United States Government is being sued, and we’re going to have to pay for that; as those families are now paying everyday for the loss of their loved ones. There was adequate warning…there were people who failed to act on that warning! And that’s what ought to be investigated. But instead of requesting that Congress investigate what went wrong and why, we had President Bush (painful for me to say that) place a phone to call to Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, requesting him not to investigate the events of September 11th. Then, hot on the heels of the President’s phone call, was another phone call, this one from the Vice President – asking also that Tom Daschle not investigate the events that led to September 11th.

That is a quote from her, that even she had to recant when put on the spot. She made a statement that fully implied the President had prior knowledge of terrorists’ plans before 9/11 and tried to cover it up. Then when the heat got hot she ran for cover!

And lets review a number of her other loony statements and actions:

And the list of “other items” above are just some of her nutty acts performed in her current term in Congress. I would need to write a book to highlight the others she’s done as a Congresswoman over the years.

In the same blog post where she claims others will play racial games, she went on to play on race herself.

Our forebears did not struggle for the right to elect a representative in Congress who won’t stand up for peace or justice when that is what Democrats demand.

Who’s forebears? It looks to me like McKinney is trying to imply that Blacks struggled to vote for Democrats. As in, Black people should only vote for Democrats. But she claims others will play on race  .

Also on her blog she has a piece written by moonbat nutcase Greg Palast. It’s full of more race bait than you can shake a stick at! And he claims McKinney punching a cop was somehow a blow for justice!

Cynthia’s Blog - An Alleged Blow for Us All (by Greg Palast) - June 17, 2006

The good ol’ boy cracker-crats of the Republican party are having themselves a regular hootenanny over allegations that congresswoman Cynthia McKinney landed a punch on a security guard at the Capitol.

That crazy congresswoman is at it again. Or should I say, black congresswoman. Yes, I should say it, because, don’t kid yourself, “black” is what it’s all about.

Not a single Black member of Congress would stand with her and none said they’ve faced similar treatment from the Capitol police, but Greg Palast is always there to make up something that plays on emotions and lame conspiracy theories. Looney Mr. Palast goes on to tell how his attorney Duane Fitzgerald Andrews, a Black man was once mistaken for a delivery man when entering a DC office building. Not a building guarded by the Capitol police, but we are supposed to feel that all Blacks are treated badly when entering buildings. I am a Black man and I’ve entered buildings all over this nation in various attire. I’ve never been mistaken for a delivery man. I’ve never had a cop pull me by the arm as I entered. How come this stuff only happens to nuts when they enter buildings? I’m not saying it never happens, but if it happens because of race lets remember some Blacks in law enforcement discriminate too. And that happens right in McKinney’s district, so she and her buddies should keep their mouths shut! Plus it’s not exactly on par with times when Blacks were turned away from entering a building by force.

Palast goes on to describe McKinney’s punching a cop doing his job “response”.

When McKinney landed her response, she landed it for Duane - and for Rosa Parks who was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white passenger in a bus; for the black folk stopped by the cops when trying to flee New Orleans into the safety of the white Metairie; for Willie Steen, a black man in Florida stopped from voting because he looked like a “potential felon”. And she landed one for me and for you, for all of us of all races afflicted with the racism that remains in the DNA of the body politic.

So here’s to you, Cynthia, our champ, still undefeated.

Yes while the rest of the world understands hitting a cop is wrong, Greg Palast celebrates it and McKinney proudly has it posted on her blog! And why do McKinney and Palast get along so well? Because like McKinney, he wants to impeach President Bush, he’s woven many a 9/11 conspiracy himself and McKinney is about the only member of Congress that will pay attention to his nonsense. At least he admits he can’t link Bush to having prior knowledge about 9/11, but he would loved to have found something and was trying his best to. So instead he cries about other mess. (And I’ve heard him cry about plenty more while spewing his nutty thoughts in radio interviews, especially those related to 9/11.)

Greg Palast - See No Evil: What Bush Didn’t (Want To) Know About 9/11

I don’t want any misunderstanding here, so I must emphasize what we did not find: We uncovered no information, none whatsoever, that George W. Bush had any advance knowledge of the plan to attack the World Trade Center on 9/11, nor, heaven forbid, any involvement in the attack.

Bush failed to get Osama. But we did successfully eliminate the threat of Congresswoman McKinney — you remember, the one who dared question ChoicePoint, the company that helped Katherine Harris eliminate Black voters.

Following our BBC broadcast and Guardian report in November 2001, McKinney cited our stories on the floor of Congress, calling for an investigation of the intelligence failures and policy prejudices you’ve just read here. She was labeled a traitor, a freak, a conspiracy nut and “a looney” — the latter by her state’s Democratic Senator, who led the mob in the political lynching of the uppity Black woman. The New York Times wrote, “She angered some Black voters by suggesting that President Bush might have known in advance about the September 11 attacks but had done nothing so his supporters could make money in war.” The fact that she said no such thing doesn’t matter; the Times is always more influential than the truth. Dan Rather had warned her, shut up, don’t ask questions, and you can avoid the neck-lacing. She didn’t and it cost her her seat in Congress.

McKinney’s electoral corpse in the road silenced politicians, the media was mum, but some Americans still would not get in line. For them we have new laws to permit investigating citizens without warrants, and the label of terrorist fellow-traveler attached to groups from civil rights organizations to trade treaty protestors.

Oh yea Greg, McKinney was the key to it all  … They don’t make nuts like him every day!

Now for a blogger like me, another term of McKinney in office would be rather entertaining, but she certainly won’t be able to work in the true best interests of people in her Congressional district. Because she really is a nut. And nobody in any profession likes working with a nut.

McKinney is hoping that if you live in GA’s 4th district you don’t learn that Hank Johnson has never done any of her mess and might actually work better with others in Congress, to do more for that district. The bottom line is that the 4th district can do better than McKinney and this is their opportunity to make it happen.
