What Bush Should Have Said at the NAACP Convention (Audio)

by @ 3:16 pm. Filed under Audio, The Truth Shall Set you Free!

I’ve heard some Conservatives praise Bush’s speech at the recent NAACP Convention and I’ve heard others say what they felt he should have said. As you know I recommended that Bush should not have gone and still feel that way. Notice a day before his speech, ultra Liberal Senators Clinton and Obama both trashed him. (Check their voting records they’re both ultra Liberal.) During the speech he was heckled and people cheered most when he trashed himself or his party. And after Bush’s speech even Blue Dog Democrats like Georgia’s David Scott really were not very nice in response.

When other more highly cheered people before you say things like “don’t be fooled”, you’re heckled, scorned and later things are said like “it remains to be seen”, that means you really were not welcome and nothing you say will have any impact. Bush wasted his time, I don’t care what anybody says. If he wanted to pander to Blacks he should have visited a Convention of Black Conservatives. But the Bush Administration is running to Liberal race baiting groups like the NAACP and La Raza. The Bush Administration has given credibility to those that trash them the most. Party politics will really make you do some stupid things just to please anybody.

Today my man BJ Ellis said exactly what Bush should have said at that Civil Rights Industry Convention, given going was a total waste of time.

I am convinced that the environment of the Black community will not change until THE PEOPLE WHO ARE IN POWER OVER IT ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE for the state of the Black community.

Until this day comes they will be free to put the blame for the conditions upon someone else - as they are doing with Bush.

The main people who have been in power over the Black community for decades in elected positions are the main ones talking junk.

Their entire set of economic policy initiatives need to be put up for inspection.
Despite the fact that they can find no proof of strong economic growth coming from their districts during the Clinton Administration - we didn’t hear the attacks upon Clinton when he addressed the NAACP.

I definitely would not have gone. I didn’t think GWB should have gone, but then I can’t make decisions for him can I . After the way they have dogged him out. As the old folks say, they called him everything but a child of God. I don’t agree with GWB much of the time, BUT I think we can discuss and debate his presidency without namecalling and vicious attacks. What has happened to civility?

    ps. I love your blog!
