So That’s Where Michael King Went After He Stopped Blogging

by @ 10:14 pm. Filed under Business, Tech

When former blogger Michael King stopped making posts at Ramblings’ Journal, I had no idea where he was going. Turns out he’s the Web Editor for Atlanta’s 11Alive News (WXIA-TV). I was reading this article tonight and was surprised to see his name.

Blogging: Bad for Business?

And the power of the blog came full circle recently with Internet service provider AOL. A blogger put his customer experience with an AOL representative online. It was soon picked up and carried on national television. The result –millions learned of it and it prompted a new look by AOL at its customer service policies.

For Michael King, a well-known blogger and now a Web producer at 11Alive.Com, the blog is here to stay.

“Corporations are definitely paying attention when you start having situations like the AOL situation,” said King. “You had the whole impression of people sitting at home in their pajamas and typing. You’re getting away from that. You’re getting into a situation where people are actually able to piece things together.”

See him in the video report here.

Given the report probably aired on TV and is on the station’s web site with a front page link, I hope nobody feels I’m “outing” Michael. I was just wondering where he went and think folks will be pleased to see he’s doing well.
