They Claim Their Firefighters are Legal, but Fear an Immigration Crackdown

by @ 10:36 am. Filed under Illegal Aliens

See La Shawn Barber’s latest post about Spanish speaking firefighters. That post is related to this news article. The article makes it appear that cracking down on illegals would result in lost lives and property. But one can only wonder how many applications from Americans are turned down, in favor of people who don’t speak English? Fire officials use some interesting double-speak in the article. They say they feel their crews are legal, but fear an immigration crack-down. Well if your crews are clean you should not fear an immigration crackdown.

Would the heads of these fire crews use the same fear tactics if there was talk about cracking down on firefighters who do drugs or have broken other laws? If we are OK with allowing anyone willing to carry a fire hose, then I’m sure there are Americans in homeless shelters that would be willing to do the work. Ted Hayes could help them find some folks.

Or lets just go all the way with this hiring of anyone without standards and hire policemen who are illegals too. Then we can look to illegals to carry out law enforcement  .
