“Some people come into this world with affections ordered toward other people of the same gender and some people come into this world with affections directed at people of the other gender.”

These sentiments wouldn't be so sad if they came from the mouth of a college professor, but a leader in the Church? The statement is true, but what she failed to add after that is the fact that acting on those same-gender "affections" is entirely sinful. Unfortunately, she's giving Christians who already struggle with homosexual tendencies, but know it's wrong, the go-ahead, and that's terribly saddening leadership.

Well, at least in the world of Katharine Jefferts Schori it is. The Episcopal church taken the leap from mild acceptance to total embracing of homosexuality as the new virtue.
