The New Wave Church Has No Such Thing as Sin and There are No Men

by @ 8:24 pm. Filed under Evangelicals Under Attack, Nuts on Parade

I guess this post could have been titled “The so-called Christian Enemy Within”. Because it seems there are people who claim the Christian faith, but reject the basic tenants of the faith. Let’s review some of the nuttery that is going on.

We’ll start with the foolishness from the mouth of a heretic that poses as a Bishop.

Gay love OK with God ~ bishop

Interviewed on CNN, Bishop Jefferts Schori was asked if it was a sin to be homosexual.

“I don’t believe so. I believe that God creates us with different gifts. Each one of us comes into this world with a different collection of things that challenge us and things that give us joy and allow us to bless the world around us,” she said.

“Some people come into this world with affections ordered toward other people of the same gender and some people come into this world with affections directed at people of the other gender.”

Sorry spewer of heresy, the correct answer is:

Mark 10:6-9 (New King James Version)

6) But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’

7) ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,

8) and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh.

9) Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

DL Foster offers his take. He also has a powerful message for people in the faith who are struggling with the issue of homosexuality.

There are some within the Episcopal Church USA that are speaking out. I personally think these good Christians should consider leaving before their children are led astray by false teachers in that group.

Female bishop’s election could split Anglicans

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Episcopal Church USA’s election of a female presiding bishop who supports gay bishops and the blessing of gay unions may stress the centuries-old global Anglican Communion to the breaking point.

Pittsburgh Bishop Robert Duncan said Monday that “the church’s leaders are leading people astray.” And he cautioned people not to forsake the Bible — which he says calls homosexual behavior a sin — and run off with “the Church of What’s Happening Now.”

In other nuttery, efforts are under way to emasculate God.
Hat tip to read brooklyn.

Presbyterians Think Of Changing ‘Father, Son, Holy Spirit’

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The divine Trinity — “Father, Son and Holy Spirit” — could also be known as “Mother, Child and Womb” or “Rock, Redeemer, Friend” at some Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) services under an action Monday by the church’s national assembly.

Delegates to the meeting voted to “receive” a policy paper on gender-inclusive language for the Trinity, a step short of approving it. That means church officials can propose experimental liturgies with alternative phrasings for the Trinity, but congregations won’t be required to use them.

Conservatives responded that the church should stick close to the way God is named in the Bible and noted that Jesus’ most famous prayer was addressed to “Our Father.”

Youth delegate Dorothy Hill, a student at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts, was uncomfortable with changing the Trinity wording. She said the paper “suggests viewpoints that seem to be in tension with what our church has always held to be true about our Trinitarian God.”

Hill reminded delegates that the Ten Commandments say “the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.”

Hill is absolutely correct.

Exodus 20:7 (New King James Version)

7) “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

Oh but that’s one of the Ten Commandments, we know Liberals never liked them anyway.

In other nuttiness. Or maybe I should say forecasts of Satanic activity.

Episcopalians Reject Ban on Gay Bishops

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Episcopal clergy and lay delegates Tuesday rejected a demand from fellow Anglicans that they temporarily stop electing gay bishops, leaving little chance the proposal could be revived at a national church meeting.

Of course this stems from a gay man named Robinson being named “Bishop”. Interestingly enough, Robinson should not only have been rejected from such a position for being gay, but also for leaving his wife and children. You can’t exactly say he “rules his own house well”. No gays and no females can be in the position. I didn’t write the Bible, I just try to follow it and actually believe the words in it as they are written. I should also mention, there are some running with the title “Bishop” that have some apparent issues with money. That is also a disqualifier. Remember a man wanting to be Bishop should never be “greedy for money”.

And the last example of nuttiness:

Presbyterians OKs Leeway for Ordaining Gays

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) national assembly voted Tuesday to create some leeway for gay clergy and lay officers to serve local congregations, despite a denominational ban on partnered gay ministers.

A measure approved 298-221 by a Presbyterian national assembly keeps in place a church law that says clergy and lay elders and deacons must limit sexual relations to man-woman marriage. But the new legislation says local congregations and regional presbyteries can exercise some flexibility when choosing clergy and lay officers of local congregations if sexual orientation or other issues arise.

Now given these “New Wave” folks dismiss the gay lifestyle as something people are just born with. Their church has no standard for what is sin and what is righteous. Pedophiles claim a natural affection for children. Alcoholics often show a predisposition to want some booze. Some thieves steal even when they have money. Just because these people have a desire that appears “natural” towards sin does not make the sin right. It is the sinful nature of man that should be rejected. The Church is supposed to show a different way, that offers the gift of God through the blood of Jesus and the path to everlasting life. That tree of life once denied to man. Because those who continue with sin will perish.

Matthew 13:36-43 (New King James Version)

36) Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”

37) He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.

38) The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.

39) The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.

40) Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.

41) The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness,

42) and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43) Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Homosexuality a True Gift From God

Well, at least in the world of Katharine Jefferts Schori it is. The Episcopal church taken the leap from mild acceptance to total embracing of homosexuality as the new virtue.
Interviewed on CNN, Jefferts Schori was asked if it was a sin to be homos…

  2. Terrence Says:

“Some people come into this world with affections ordered toward other people of the same gender and some people come into this world with affections directed at people of the other gender.”

These sentiments wouldn’t be so sad if they came from the mouth of a college professor, but a leader in the Church? The statement is true, but what she failed to add after that is the fact that acting on those same-gender “affections” is entirely sinful. Unfortunately, she’s giving Christians who already struggle with homosexual tendencies, but know it’s wrong, the go-ahead, and that’s terribly saddening leadership.
