Maryland Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. has fired Robert J. Smith from the board of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Mr. Smith was fired for being a devout Roman Catholic, who was asked a question about a proposed federal gay marriage ban on a TV Show and answering the question honestly. I’m going to quote from the article detailing some of this first and I’ll give you the link later, because I want to show something about its Liberal slant. This quote comes from near the end of the article.
…
Smith’s remarks came during a show taped June 9 that has aired at least three times since. The discussion included a proposed federal gay marriage ban.“That doesn’t mean that government should proffer a special place of entitlement within the laws of the United States for persons of sexual deviancy,” Smith said in the conversation about the rights of gays and lesbians.
…
Now I see nothing wrong with that statement. We know that the societal norm is heterosexual behavior and the Bible describes homosexual behavior as being unnatural. It is part of a litany of sins described by Paul.

Jesus, the resurrected savior, God come to earth in flesh and sitting on the right hand of the Father, said marriage is for one man and one woman only!

So when a Christian speaks against the gay lifestyle, they are only speaking what has been part of the faith since the beginning of the earth’s existence. It was deviant thousands of years ago and still is today. Humans still are pro-created by the effort of one man and one woman, so that is the only valid union necessary and worth offering sanction to.
Of course if Mr. Smith had called polygamists deviants he would still have a job. Because polygamists have not been able to fool the masses into thinking anything otherwise, yet.
Now look at how this article begins after the headline, Ehrlich appointee fired over remark.
Transit official equates gay lifestyle with deviancy
Now I’m surprised the Liberal Baltimore Sun still allows a writer to even call the gay lifestyle a “lifestyle”, which it is. Just as alcoholics choose to drink although some people like booze more than others. But the writer says that the transit official equated the gay lifestyle with “deviancy”. As if that was incorrect. So the Governor and the Liberal newspaper are all on board with saying that Christians can no longer speak the truth. The pro-gay lobby rejoices and Christians will be fed to the lions at noon. OK I added that part about the lions as current sarcasm, but in time what now results in losing a job will result in being sent to prison and the Christian will be considered the deviant. There have been efforts to exterminate Christians before, the question is not if, but when history will repeat its self. So my statement won’t be sarcastic forever. We know in other lands Christians are already killed for their faith in God.
Here’s what Republican Governor Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. had to say.
…
Ehrlich said in a statement that Smith would be replaced immediately.“Robert Smith’s comments were highly inappropriate, insensitive and unacceptable,” the governor said. “They are in direct conflict to my administration’s commitment to inclusiveness, tolerance and opportunity.”
…
So he’s fully on board with the pro-gay lobby. Mr. Smith did not do anything to discriminate against gays in his duties working with the transit authority. But simply being a Roman Catholic on a TV talk show, that he’s done for years caused him to be fired. The show is actually open to “inclusion”, unlike Governor Ehrlich who only shows “tolerance” to people who are not Christians.
…
Casey Aiken, executive producer of 21 This Week, said Smith has been a regular panelist for years and would be invited back. “We’re not in the business of censoring free speech and political debate,” he said.
…
The American Family Foundation has launched an effort try and defend the rights of Christians, to actually be Christians. You can get that information at this link on their site.
So who did Ehrlich replace Mr. Smith with? A crony of the Bush family.
(From the Baltimore Sun article.)
…
The governor named Raymond J. Briscuso Jr., a Bethesda resident and biotechnology consultant, to the remainder of Smith’s three-year term. Briscuso served as Maryland coordinator of George H.W. Bush’s 1988 presidential campaign and ran unsuccessfully for Congress in 1990 as a Republican.
…
So while President Bush has pressed for the amendment, the Republicans are driving out Christians and replacing them with Republicans with ties to the Bush family. Interesting.
Hello Michael Steele, where are you? What’s more important, that you speak for the cause of Christ or that you speak what “the people” wish to hear for you to win some votes? Maybe the people still agree the gay lifestyle is a sexual deviancy, but the media will never report it. I hope they do ask Steele about this matter.

I Bet Liberal Republican Maryland Governor Robert Ehrlich Would Never Appoint a Christian Over the Family Court, but a Gay is OK by Him!
We already know what Robert Ehrlich does when a Christian is found in his mist, that actually believes the gay lifestyle should not be given special sanction by government. So I guess it’s not surprising that he would turn over a family court d…
