The defense in the Duke lacrosse rape case is handing Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong his own foot for consumption.

Nifong also claimed the nurse performing the examination was “specially trained in sexual assault cases”, but it turns out that nurse was not certified and still in training.
Nifong appears to have violated the public trust and played on the emotions of some Blacks who only see the world in terms of race. That misguided group of Blacks seems to always see Black as good and White as being evil, no matter the case and evidence presented. And they remain silent about worse crimes.

In one of the worse cases nobody talks about, Amir Delon Belvin’s case has had a mistrial. The mother of the man murdered while trying to be a peacemaker, does not know if her son’s killer will ever be brought to justice. (Whoever that killer may be.) The defense was able to obscure any fault, because of there being multiple shooters. The defense for any shooter that night would probably get away with the exact same defense. Which means it is possible nobody may be found guilty, although it seemed evidence pointed to Belvin.
update 6/19/2006 11:40AM: La Shawn Barber has found that Nifong is sticking with the case and even lashing out at blogs. Hey Nifong, just wait till you see what we say about you after you waste more of Durahm’s taxpayer money and time, once a jury confirms you’ve got no case. That is, if you make it past November!

I thought the stripper had serious integrity issues, but seems to Nifong have serious integrity issues of his own. Publicly trying to convict and condemn these boys in the media is unethical to say the least, but fabricating a case to convict these boys in court is criminal

First she says she was raped by 20 men, then by five men, then by three men after a frustrated police officer told her to “pick a number!”
First she didn’t say she was raped, then after being arrested she said she was raped, then she claimed the 2nd stripper helped with the rape and robbed her, and now she claims that the second stripper was separated from her, but the second stripper stated they were separated for less than 5 minutes.
First she denied being raped, then she said she was only vaginally raped, then she said she was beaten, choked, and kicked after being dragged into the bathroom by three players, but the medical reports stated that there was only mild vaginal swelling and small scraped on her knee and ankle. No signs of a beating.
First the stripper said she didn’t have sex for over a week, then she confessed that she had sex with her boyfriend, a vaginal sex toy at the party before the Duke party, with the two guys who drove her to the Duke party, and a “client” the day before. This women was dripping with DNA, non of which was from the boys.

I’m expecting somebody to jump up and yell “late April Fools” at some point, because it’s hard to believe this is really a case.
