Like the troops overseas, now ordinary people trying to stop a bad guy are being 2nd guessed because they would not let a bad guy get away.
Robber sues victims after they beat him

Be sure to read the rest of that one at the link provided.
If the thief who tried to use deadly force was not trying to run away, than he would not have been beaten outside to begin with
. It’s true, you’re not supposed to beat someone after they are outside, but the lunacy of the law allows bad guys to get away so long as they can run to the door. We don’t want people stalking others that they feel are bad and always taking the law into their own hands, but in a case like this the employees should be given a pass because maybe they were emotionally distressed that while in the middle of an ordinary work day somebody pointed a gun at them. I think under the fit of emotional distress they attacked in self defense and lost sense of all boundaries of the interior and exterior of the store. So not only should the robber’s lawsuit be tossed out of court, but they (the true victims) should sue him (the robber) for emotional distress and he should have to pay them. I’m sure he has some assets that can be taken as restitution and he won’t be needing anything for the next 18 years anyway.

They beat his azz like a drum…good for them. That’s what he gets for brining a gun to a lead pipe and wrench fight.
There was a time when cases like this amazed me… not anymore…I’ve heard of worse. This is just some of the bad we have come to expect out of our judical system.
I hope they get a jury trial…believe it or not your average jury would handle a case like this just fine. I’ve “done” jury duty and have always been amazed at how well it meets out justice and sifts through attorney B.S.
We usually hear about the times juries return a strange verdict…those are the cases that make the headlines.
