Once upon a time families could take the kids to the park for a nice outing. People could exercise without interruption. Now perverts of all sorts loom in the parks. But who knew an HIV/AIDS prevention resource in Tennessee’s Office of Minority Health would be one of them!
Sex sting at Cedar Hill Park cites 38 people
An employee of the Tennessee Office of Minority Health was among the 38 people cited in a sex sting at Cedar Hill Park this week, Metro police said.
Park police and undercover Metro officers conducted the operation at the Madison park from Sunday to Wednesday.
Police said the park has a reputation as a meeting place for sexual encounters, and the charges ranged from indecent exposure to soliciting a prostitute.
David Morrow of the state Health Department was cited Monday for indecent exposure after he requested oral sex from an undercover officer and dropped his pants, according to a police citation.
Morrow is involved with HIV/AIDS prevention and is listed as a resource in the state’s 2005 HIV/AIDS Resource Directory.
Several male officers walked the wooded areas and parking lots of the park in the daytime and cited anyone who exposed themselves or was engaging in lewd acts, Sgt. David Slessinger said.
A female undercover officer also patrolled the area, citing eight men who made verbal agreements to pay her for sex acts.
