Laura Ingraham Tells Ken Mehlman His Immigration Policy (Amnesty) is a Loser (Audio)

by @ 12:08 am. Filed under Audio, Illegal Aliens

With the news of Karl Rove not facing any charges, RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman did the radio/TV rounds yesterday. In the AM he spoke with Laura Ingraham. Given Mehlman is one of the chief architects behind the Senate’s amnesty program I was interested in hearing of Laura would hold his feet to the fire on the issue. And she did. Laura continually banged Mehlman on the issue, although he continued trying to defend his position.

The battle started when Mehlman praised the CA-50 win and Laura Ingraham caught him on the issue of illegal immigration. She pointed
out the win shows people don’t want a soft shoe approach to the issue.

All I can say is that the message has been sent. If he refuses to get it than he can watch his amnesty supporters lose their jobs. And eventually he will lose his own. I’m not a Republican, so I could care less if he and his party crumble, so long as representatives take their place that take the issue of illegal immigration seriously and express true conservative values.

I got “Error: Bad Behavior” when I clicked on the link.

Mehlman is clueless on this issue. I can only hope that the immigration issue carries to and through the elections. My fear is that the pols will talk it up before the elections, talk tough, and then try to wait until it dies down so they can pass the shamnesty program. Bush does this kind of thing. He’ll throw something out there and then think that public opinion will come around to him. OR he’ll just wait until folks move on to the next crisis and then he’ll try to sneak it through.

    How is Tennessee?

Regarding the “Bad Behavior” error you received. That’s my spam defense system :D . I recommend it to anyone running a blog if you can use it, although it’s not perfect. The version I’m running now is in beta and so it may have hit you with a “false positive”.

I’m running version 2 beta 1. If you can go to http://error.wordpress.com/2006/06/07/bad-behavior-2-beta-1/ and leave a post for the maker of the software. You’ll probably need to tell him your browser, any firewall you’re running. He may be able to provide an update to prevent your issues. Sorry about that. When I don’t use it I get trackback spam, which is a real pain to deal with.

TN is good. Although I’ve got one issue with the place. They don’t have deregulated services. So if one provider does bad service you can’t fire them and use another like in GA. And many of the services come via the government, like trash pickup. I don’t like this aspect of things, but I’ll survive :D .

They have no state income tax, instead it’s a Fair Tax state. So yea the tax at the register is a bit higher, but it does help you spend less.

Like I say, I loved TN. I went to UT in 1991-1993. Even though I was a poor college student, it was great that they didn’t take out state tax. Of course, the sales tax was a bit of a shock. But, again, being a poor college student, I didn’t buy much anyway.

That sounds fair to me :) .

Lieberman Being Independent is Good! Republican Party Chairman Ken Mehlman Refuses to Endorse One of His Own. (Audio)

It’s interesting how an Independent can shake up a political race. Unfortunately Joe Lieberman is not an Independent Conservative , but his efforts to run as an Independent are causing the parties fits. Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean …
