Independent Conservative,

Thank you so much for your encouraging words!

I have found that when I post on the topics of homosexuality or abortion, I get a lot of gay activists and/or pro-death people attempting to counter what is written. They can protest all they want, but human "wisdom" will NEVER trump the eternal infallible Wisdom of God as revealed through the Person of Jesus Christ and His Word, the Bible.

Keep up the great work that you are doing at your blog! I've got a lot of reading to do here!

Thank you Christinewjc, I've read your write-up cited by DL and thought it was awesome.

It's interesting that I post about a myriad of issues, but only 2 seem to bring out a mass of advocates for the bad behavior. Those 2 issues are <b>women who sleep with young boys</b> and <b>homosexuals</b>. Nothing I post about invokes such reaction as those 2 issues. Which means we've got to keep speaking out against them loudly, because it is apparent that too many people are being fooled into thinking they are OK to do.

Hi Independent Conservative!

I support DL wholeheartedly as well! I really appreciate your non-compromising adherance to Jesus Christ and His Word! Too many Christians are caught up into the <a href="http://talkwisdom.blogspot.com/2006/05/creeping-vine-of-compromise.html" rel="nofollow">"creeping vine of compromise."</a> I wrote about that fact at my blog. Keep sharing the Word and telling it like it is!

That was interesting, a pro-gay lobby supporter tried to use Old Testament laws of Moses while I reference New Testament verses pertaining to modern day Christians.

Talk about a loudmouth with an empty gun, that one was firing blanks from his first post :D .

I won't waste time with such.

The verses in the Bible speaking of slavery regarded <b>debt slavery</b> and had nothing to do with the form of forced slavery in America's history. If you don't want to answer the question from me you're gone. <b>I run this blog, not you.</b> Be gone!

IndependentConservative-- you are attempting to slip past being confronted with your own acceptance and approval of anit-semitic, bigoted, and hatefull behavior - do you condone it or not? Yes or no? Obviously you do have a problem with the "truth" when it is about yourself. As far as black people being compared to slave drivers - I agree - this is indeed unacceptable! However, your anger over this type of behavior does not give you a green light to behave the same exact way - or lash out at me. God is everywhere - there is no need to run and find a bible verse to back up your every statement... Again, you cannot pick and choose what you like and ignore the rest. Anti-gay verses seem to fit your personal belief system- so they are "the truth" - meanwhile I doubt you spend much time preaching Leviticus 25:44 and Exodus 21:7 which condone slavery (nor should you!) When only the verses YOU LIKE are the truth you are missing God's bigger messages. I cant address what you think Im lying about if you dont specify what it is you think Im lying about. Otherwise its simply name calling out of anger.

Light - As administrator of this blog I should change your screen name to <b>"lie"</b> because your one big liar.

Please show me where you've attacked someone for comparing a Black person to a slave driver? It happens all the time. I would like to see where you have denounced such statements on a public record?

The truth is the truth and I've got no problem saying it. If someone wishes to twist the truth to imply that the gay lifestyle is Godly, that is a lie. Like yourself.

What someone else did with the Bible does not dismiss the fact that the Bible expressly denounces homosexual behavior. The Lord has been making "ex-gays" for a very long time.

<b>1 Corinthians 6:9-14 (New King James Version)</b>
<blockquote>
    9) Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,

    10) nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

    11) And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

    12) All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

    13) Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

    14) And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.
</blockquote>

Now do you agree or disagree with the fact that the gay lifestyle is a sin before God?

Shame on you. By your implied acceptance and aggreement with DL Foster's comparing a Jewish man to Hitler -- you are simply giving a big thumbs up to bigotry. There's a lot of blathering on in this site about how all the gays need to be shown the "truth" -- yet most of you here seem to think this truth only involves finger pointing and condemning those we dont like or agree with -- while those you care for are applauded for anti-semetic, bigoted and hatefull behavior. How ironic. Lets talk about the "truth" -- there is nothing more decietful than picking and choosing the parts of the bible we aggree with - while ignoring the rest....For example, in the past white men have used the bible to justify slavery and suppress women-- now most of you here engage in this same hatefull tactic towards gay men an women. Again, ironic.

I feel you are making several theological errors.

First Jesus was not the only one who had some stiff words for his detractors and they (followers of the Lord) said them to not only religious leaders who were Jews, but also false teachers like the prophets of Baal as well.

Second the light is right and exists to offer correction, instruction and guidance. If that results in the brutal words with some, its been happening even before Jesus came to earth in human form.

Third, you are trying to use the words "love" and "nice" as synonyms. You are acting as if to show love Christians must always be nice. These are two different terms and love is not always nice. To preach to sinners does not mean we always tell them what they wish to hear, but what they need to hear. I love my neighbor as myself. I would not allow myself to continue in sin without denouncing my own self. If a man is to pluck out his eye if it offends him, than in loving his neighbor as himself he would need to do the same if his neighbor rejects the gospel.

Forth, the pro-gay lobby has rejected the Lord. You claim that Jesus never spoke ill of sinners he was trying to reach out to and that he never preached to sinners. You are incorrect on both counts.

<b>Matthew 10:5-15 (New King James Version)</b>
<blockquote>5) These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.

6) But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

7) And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’

8) Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

9) Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts,

10) nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.

11) “Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out.

12) And when you go into a household, greet it.

13) If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.

14) And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

15) Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!
</blockquote>

Jesus sent them to preach to the lost (sinners) of the Jews. Given he had not yet died on the cross to provide access for the world, the House of Israel was still in it's own covenant with God and the rest were Gentiles. He did not ask them to pass out money, but to preach. For those who took them in good, but others were given a worse fate. Now you may say that he never told them to say anything negative to them, but you would be wrong, because he told the 70 he sent to do that.

<b>Luke 10:1-12 (New King James Version)</b>

<blockquote>
1) After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.

2) Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

3) Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.

4) Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road.

5) But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’

6) And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you.

7) And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.

8) Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you.

9) And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

10) But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,

11) ‘The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.’

12) But I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.
</blockquote>

Christians job is to preach to the entire world, sinners included now that Christ has died for the sins of the world.

I am not trying to be right. The truth is right and Christians are expected to do nothing more than speak the truth.

The pro-gay lobby rejects the gospel and so they are rejected and denounced by me just as the prophets of Baal were rejected.

It is interesting Jonathan how Christian bloggers denounce plenty of sin of various types, but people like yourself only show up when the discussion is about gays and that particular sin. You have become indoctrinated into the false application of love by the pro-gay lobby. I pray for your deliverance.

Jesus wants us to teach the world everything he commanded us to observe.

<b>Matthew 28:19-20 (New King James Version)</b>

<blockquote>
19) Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20) teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
</blockquote>

Jesus was the example for Christians to follow. To do as he did is a good thing. <b>He told us to teach all that he commanded.</b> That means we don't reserve preaching when the sin is the gay lifestyle.

Please read more of the Bible. There are several things you've expressed here that are incorrect. Maybe you are new to the faith, but you should study more before you mislead yourself and others.

14) And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

15) Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!

Jesus sent them to preach to the lost (sinners) of the Jews. Given he had not yet died on the cross to provide access for the world, the House of Israel was still in it’s own covenant with God and the rest were Gentiles. He did not ask them to pass out money, but to preach. For those who took them in good, but others were given a worse fate. Now you may say that he never told them to say anything negative to them, but you would be wrong, because he told the 70 he sent to do that.

Luke 10:1-12 (New King James Version)

  Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you.

Matthew 28:19-20 (New King James Version)

19) Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20) teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Jesus was the example for Christians to follow. To do as he did is a good thing. He told us to teach all that he commanded. That means we don’t reserve preaching when the sin is the gay lifestyle.

Please read more of the Bible. There are several things you’ve expressed here that are incorrect. Maybe you are new to the faith, but you should study more before you mislead yourself and others.
