Republican Brian Bilbray ran on a campaign to be tough on the issue of illegal immigration. Given his financial backing and support by some others who are tough on illegal immigration, this helped him to drown out Independent William Griffith. Griffith was endorsed by the San Diego Minutemen.

Bilbray’s stance also helped him to defeat Liberal Democrat Francine Busby. We know Busby was trying to encourage illegals to support her campaign and even told them they “don?t need papers for voting”.

Bilbray’s win shows once again that people want the government not to go easy on the issue of illegal immigration. People want those borders closed to illegals now. Then worry about illegals that are here who should not be granted amnesty for breaking our laws.
