At times I may mention how the Democratic Party has a very long history of racism and bigotry. What some people don’t know is that there are people who are still proud Democrats that carry very overt racial hatred today. They still express the same racial hatred as always, many are neo-Confederates, they like social programs and they hate Republicans. Their family elders were often Democrats that fought against efforts like desegregation. And so they still hold to the party today.

It looks like 2 Democrats harboring hatred are running for office in Alabama. And they are trying to leverage the issue of illegal immigration to their advantage. Larry Darby is running on the Demo ticket for Alabama Attorney General and says he wants to “reawaken white racial awareness”. He denies Jews were expressly targeted during the Holocaust, he wants to legalize drugs and wants to kill illegal aliens. That’s right kill illegal aliens. Harry Lyon is on the Demo ticket for Governor of Alabama and he wants televised broadcasts of illegal immigrants being killed. Needless to say, these are 2 very hateful men. They are trying to leverage a major issue to play on Whites’ racial emotions. Much like the New Black Panther Party plays on Blacks, these 2 candidates are hoping to stir pure racial hatred. They don’t want to kill illegals just because they are here unlawfully, these men are just using the issue to cover their hatred.

Given they are running as Democrats, has Howard (I want the Confederate flag voters) Dean said anything? Nope. It seems one Democrat has spoken up and on this one I must agree with Al Sharpton. His party should denounce these 2 men openly. When David Duke was running as a Republican, members of that party loudly denounced him. Republicans showed they will not tolerate racial bigots and racists in the party, although they can’t always be easily removed. Just speaking out against them often helps a bigot or racist leave on their own. When will more of the Democratic party speak up?

The US Senate is set to vote on S. 2611, which is a terrible piece of legislation. We need the federal government to do better, so that nuts like Larry Darby and Harry Lyon are not able to play this issue to their political advantage. Our borders need to be fully secured from illegal immigration and then we can handle how to deal with illegals already here. Although I would not mind if they were deported and feel they should be denied social services, I do not agree with nuts that want to kill them. It’s true they are here illegally and invaded a sovereign nation, but I don’t think they have done anything worthy of execution.
