US Senator Johnny Isakson from Georgia decided to introduce an amendment to the immigration reform bill. It basically said, lets ensure the new fluff border security measures are in place before we start granting amnesty. The amendment was voted down, by a vote of 55-40.

I’m usually pretty hard on Senator Isakson. But in this weak upgrade to border security at least he has the priorities straight. It seems most of the Senate wants to ensure the illegals are flowing in and getting amnesty without any waiting. (Saxby Chambliss joined Senator Isakson in voting for the amendment.)

Liberals who voted against the bill were people like John Kerry, Ted (I lost here in the lake) Kennedy, Barbara Boxer and Barack Obama. Michelle Malkin list the Republicans who voted against the bill. It’s also interesting who did not vote at all. People like Trent Lott and John McCain! We always knew McCain walked with the Liberals on many matters, but we see once again that Mississippi US Senator Trent Lott is not the Conservative he talks himself up to be.

Michelle suggest picking up the phone. I recommend you stop playing such games with these nuts and start booting some of them out in November! It’s time to stop making the threats to toss them out and really do it.
