The Conservative debate to end all debates was held yesterday, when Sean Hannity went up against Conservative commentator Patrick J. Buchanan. Ever since the latest military effort in Iraq began, these two have been at odds with each other. This time they discussed the possibility of military action in Iran and ended up right back in their debate over Iraq once again.
Mr. Buchanan does not feel we should be speaking so much about military action right now and that Iran is not an immediate threat. Mr. Hannity countered that Iran is a problem and needs to be addressed. I must say, that I find the policy of waiting till an enemy is an “imminent threat” to be more wasteful than doing something about the enemy when they are weak. To address the enemy while they are weak ensures they never gain enough might to do you additional harm. To wait till the enemy is a greater threat means more lives will be lost in a later fight. Personally I would not mind seeing the USA and Israel launch a joint nuclear strike against Iran, to decimate their military and all their nuclear efforts.
