Who’s the Gestapo Now?!!!

First let me say congratulations to Michelle Malkin, for her new video blog Hot Air. Her current top story relates well to my previous post about US relations with China.

Interestingly enough, while Mrs. Malkin is covering how Chinese officials are trying to silence voices of dissent, she is experiencing similar in her personal life. Recently, some Left Winged Moonbats that hate our military organized a rally, in protest of military recruiting efforts at the University of California at Santa Cruz. They publicly broadcast their contact information in an internet press release. Mrs. Malkin posted some of the same information on her blog. Their protest was so rowdy, that the military recruiters had to leave campus. (Someone was injured in similar protest a year earlier and recruiters did not want to see anyone hurt this year.) It turns out this bunch and their cohorts are so rowdy, that they turned their attacks towards Mrs. Malkin. Although she posted information that was already made public, they reacted by posting not only her private home address and phone number, but pictures and maps as well. Given what happened at UC Santa Cruz, it’s a given that they don’t know the meaning of “peaceful protest”.

Four military recruiters hastily fled a job fair Tuesday morning at UC Santa Cruz after a raucous crowd of student protesters blocked an entrance to the building where the Army and National Guard had set up information tables.

The student organization has become a bit of a cause celebre of the national anti-war movement ever since it was discovered that the group’s protest of the same job fair last April landed it in a Pentagon surveillance file, which listed the protest as a “credible threat” to military facilities or personnel.

Universities that receive federal funds are required to allow military recruiters on campus. But campus officials had worried that Tuesday’s protest would get out of hand as it had last April, when Students Against War protesters surrounded the table where military personnel sat, and hundreds of other demonstrators engaged in an angry protest outside. Some of the recruiters reported that their tires had been slashed and one employee at the career center was injured.

Students Against War members said they were pleased that their counter-recruiting effort forced the military personnel off campus, at least for the time being.

“We’re saying it’s not OK to recruit on high school campuses, it’s not OK to recruit on university campuses,” Marla Zubel, a UC Santa Cruz senior and member of Students Against War, said. “In order to stop the war, you have to make it more difficult to wage war.”

But at least one student, Cody James, said he was disappointed that he couldn’t get in to speak with the military personnel.

“It’s frustrating,” said James, a senior majoring in politics. “I’m not a Republican. I’m not a conservative. I don’t support the war. It’s about finding a career.”

So although Michelle Malkin does not fear these nuts and will not stop her efforts, she has moved for the safety of her family. (She and her family have packed up and moved to another location.)

La Shawn Barber has more coverage of all of this.

So now it appears that not only officials in the Chinese government are acting like the infamous Gestapo, from the Nazi era of Germany’s past. Also so-called anti-war protesters are acting in a similar fashion. These over-the-top Liberals don’t have control of any prisons, but imagine what they would use them for if they did! They claim to be “anti-war”, but it looks more like they are violently anti-wars they dislike. Because they are not peaceful and wage their own personal small scale war against all who oppose them.
