Alabama may be a “red state”, but its got some real Yellow Dog Democrats in the mix! West Limestone High School teacher Steve White decided to carry some of his anti-Bush campaign nonsense into the classroom. (He is running for a state representative seat in AL as a Democrat.) He has made students say “John Kerry rocks” as they left class and also shown them this web video that uses foul language. And he’s done other foul things as well.

I say the same for this teacher as I said regarding Far Left teacher Jay Bennish. He should be fired. These over the top efforts by some teachers, to impress their political views on children need to be stopped. But Steve White is even worse than Jay Bennish. Because Mr. White included all out vulgarity and obscene material in his efforts.

Interestingly enough, Steve White’s actions have not yet received as much media attention as Jay Bennish.

Michelle Malkin is also covering this and Steve White appears to still have his job.

update 4/12/2006 10:19AM Expose the Left has video from FoxNews show Hannity and Colmes. Steve White has been placed on “administrative leave” pending investigation of other complaints. I’m thinking that this is probably a game being played by school administrators on the public. They will keep him on what is actually a paid vacation until the smoke clears. Then they will put him right back in the classroom. Even Alan Colmes feels Mr. White should be fired.

Maybe the administrators will do the right thing, but until it received all this attention they were not going to do much at all. It’s sad that these administrators cannot maintain oversight and prevent abuse without a massive outcry from the public.
