I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired of Cynthia McKinney!
This nut does not even know how to offer an apology! She simply found a very hedged way of making a statement that included the words “I apologize”. But she also said:
There should not have been any physical contact in this incident…
She still places the blame for this on the police officer. So she’s really not offering an apology at all. If she wanted to apologize in regards to not wanting any physical contact, then she should have said “I should have followed police instructions”.
And her new “bodyguard” used a “body block” and “touched” a news reporter.
It seems McKinney’s recent past is repeating its self in a different form.
Michelle Malkin has all the latest and a video link as well.
update 4/06/2006 10:50PM: The reporter that had the altercation with McKinney’s new bodyguard is Atlanta’s WSB-TV news reporter Scott MacFarlane. The station has this video report, where Mr. MacFarlane recounts the incident and talks about other news regarding McKinney. He mentions that the Capitol police are investigating the incident and require that any private security check in with them. Which he obviously did not do.

McKinney offered her so-called “apology” today because members of the Congressional Black Caucus told her to put an end to this mess. I mentioned before that if McKinney had been the victim of “racial profiling”, that the CBC would have been all over it and speaking out too. Given they see the same Capitol Police daily.
It is very possible that the Grand Jury might recommend McKinney be charged with a felony. And given McKinney’s brazen attitude even in apologizing she does nothing to help her case.
Former Atlanta Mayor, Congressman and US Ambassador Andrew Young has come out in support of McKinney. He claims that the police have:
nothing to do all day but sit around and recognize 435 people
This man is obviously losing it. The US Capitol Police screen about 30,000 people a day and try to recognize members of Congress in that crowd. If they were required to always know everyone’s face and nothing more then why give each member of Congress a pin to wear? That’s why they are asked to wear the pin, because face recognition alone is not always enough. Especially after a member of Congress puts on a few pounds and changes their hair style. For some reason Andrew Young has decided to try and defend disrespect of police. McKinney was asked to stop and she decided to punch an officer. Ambassador Young has also mentioned how there are “only 14 Black women” (in Congress). So now the police should profile those Blacks apart from everyone else in Congress? Give them some special focus and attention, to remember them above all others? Keep in mind folks, the police distributed and posted pictures of McKinney with her old hair style after a previous incident when she was not recognized. So they’ve already tried their best to cater to her. Young said that if the officer in the incident can’t recognize people in Congress, that he should be moved over to the Senate side where he will have only 100 people to remember. I don’t know if Ambassador Young is losing his mind in old age or if he’s a fully conscious fool. But either way, he’s put his foot in a mess he would have done better to stay out of.

McKinney Apologizes
IC also posts concerning McKinney’s apology, or should I say lack of an apology. There are also comments on Andrew Young’s misplaced defense of McKinney and the issue of McKinney’s bodyguard getting into a tussle with a reporter.
