No, a Black Man Suspected of Raping a White Woman is not Treated Differently

by @ 9:18 pm. Filed under Questionable Items

In all the talk regarding the Duke Lacrosse rape case, there have been statements made by many Blacks saying “if Black men had been accused of raping a White woman the police would not wait for DNA results to charge them with rape”. (For the police to lock up anyone they’ve got to have some kind of charge to hold them on.) I have to say that the above mentioned statement is historically factual, but presently fictional. Meaning, once upon a time in America a Black man accused of doing anything to a White woman was often mistreated. But today the statement that a Black man would be locked up already, when police have DNA evidence to review is simply not true.

Here are a list of cases to prove my point that Blacks are not being “rounded up” today as some claim:

I’m not saying mistreatment because of race never happens, but it’s so less likely today, that claims saying the Duke case would be handled differently if the race of people involved were changed is bogus. I’ve seen way too many Black jocks get off easy to buy that. There was much media attention given to a case here in Georgia involving Marcus Dixon. A Black high school jock, who was convicted of raping a younger White female. Because of them being fairly close in age and findings that the sex was consensual Mr. Dixon was released by GA’s Supreme Court. This was used by race warlords to express how race results in Blacks being mistreated by the criminal justice system. What they don’t mention is that Mr. Dixon has prior accusations of sexual misconduct involving White girls that never went to trial and Mr. Dixon was never charged with anything. Because in those cases the officials at his schools (White officials) did not want to tarnish the reputation of a jock. For the record, I agree with GA’s Supreme Court ruling.

Now lets look at some other cases involving Blacks committing crimes against Whites.

Having said all of that, I think the people making noise about the Duke case have every right to do so. There is plenty of information so far that indicates the rape and other abuse probably did occur. But don’t go saying the case would be handled “so differently” if the races of the parties involved were different. The case has plenty of racial overtones and trying to create more only takes away from the facts of this case. Now I’m just wondering where all those protesters in Durham, NC were when Jenna Clayton was killed? Her accused killer was eventually found and charged, after he tried to hide from authorities. There are plenty of candles burning into the night on behalf of the Black woman who may have been raped. (I think she probably was raped.) I wonder if any wax fell to the ground on behalf of Jenna Clayton?
