OK, so if you’ve been keeping up I’m hooked to watching a new trash TV show named Unanimous (aka Unan1mous ). A bunch of people setting in an upscale underground bunker, trying to decide who to give a bunch of money to. The interaction involving some of the Conservative Christians on this show is interesting. Of course given Kelly’s heated exchange with Jameson last week, everyone was wondering what would happen next.
Well this week nothing happened with them. Kelly was obviously able to effectively apply some suggestions that Paul gave to the Ephesians.
Ephesians 4:25-27 (New King James Version)

She had her spat and moved on. When Jameson said something she felt was the truth, she would openly agree with him. However, Jameson is still angry. He offers no response to anything Kelly says to the group, he basically does his best to ignore her. And whenever he gets an opportunity to speak “in private” to “the camera” he’s only talking about how he wants Kelly to be gone. He’s still got a big chip on his shoulder and he can’t let it go. The fact someone would not bend and stood on the fact that his gay lifestyle is a sin is tearing him apart. (This makes me think of how gays often run from the truth.)
The group did find that they have a big time liar in their mist, but they don’t know who it is yet. Jonathan the “womanizer” is telling them more lies than they even know. Everyone including Jonathan agreed to give the money to Steve. Steve’s a quiet Conservative Christian with a wife and kids. Well once the votes came in, it turned out somebody did not vote for Steve. They don’t know who, but it was Jonathan. The same guy who is lying to them about having testicular cancer. Jonathan is a rat and he’s trying to use any means possible to get the money.
I guess some people would say “hey it’s a game” and consider Jonathan’s actions to be part of the game. Steve had an opportunity to speak with his wife and told her to tell the kids to keep their integrity, even if they see their father do something unethical on the show, as part of the game. This presents an interesting issue. Because Jonathan is not a Christian. He has no higher calling. But Steve is a Christian and his actions are a testimony of the faith. So if Steve makes the choice to tell a lie, he’s placed himself on the same level as Jonathan. This might all be a game, but if Steve crosses the line of good ethics in his public dealings, he’s gone into the realm of showing a Christian to be deceitful in the eyes of the world. This would not be a good thing.
Christians must keep in mind:
1 Timothy 6:7-10 (New King James Version)

If Steve starts telling lies (which he has said he might do) he will have compromised himself for the sake of money. He will place himself into the same snare that Jonathan is already in, but Jonathan does not know the Lord and makes no claims to be a Christian.
Steve telling a lie would be bad for the ministry of the gospel, given plenty of people who don’t know the Lord are watching. Not to mention, once you start telling lies it gets easy to do and he may have issues with it even after the game is over, especially if he wins. If lies help Steve to win, then Steve will feel that deceit is a good way for him to win rewards for himself. This would be bad for him and his family. The money he hopes can help him and his family might be a burden, if he takes it while compromising himself. He would do best with the money if he wins with his integrity in tact.
Because of the lies being told, Kelly is threatening to leave. I can’t say I blame her. Steve is trying to convince her to stay, because he knows she will vote for him to get the money. Kelly knows what her personal tolerance level is. And it is obvious that lies really get under her skin. If she stays and has to endure more lies, she might fall into some bad actions herself. If Kelly stays, she’s going to need to be very careful.

I think Kelly is being a little silly by threatening to leave because of the lies. It is a reality show and I don’t know how someone could go on one of these shows without knowing that they will be entering a situation where people lie. Maybe she did it as a chance to witness to folks, but that would again be a reason to stay instead of threatening to leave.
Now the whole thing about them “ejecting” the mental ward guy and then making him wear a very mental-wardish outfit while staying in the show with no chance to win was really harsh. If there was a reason to leave, I could that act on behalf of the show as being more reasonable justification.
Jameson is still nuts. Ironically (but perhaps not surprisingly), he seems like the most intolerant person on the show.
So far, I’m pleasantly surprised by Vanessa, the liberal atheist. She doesn’t act like most liberal atheists that I’ve come into contact with. She was actually fighting for Steve to get the money. Of course, I don’t know if he’s revealed yet that he is a conservative Christian.
***ONE SIDE NOTE: Did you know that your comment screen is buggy? The typing area goes outside of the white area and extends all the way to to the end of my monitor and beyond. As a result, commenters can’t see the last few words he/she types. So if there is a group of words with mass typos or syntax errors, it’s because the commenter can’t see what he/she if typing at the end of the line. Just an FYI.

I’ll look into the problems with the comments. I assume you’re using IE? Of course you would not have problems if you used a better browser
. I’ll see if I can get it resolved though.
Yea keeping the “mental” guy around to humiliate him really does not make good sense.
Venessa probably assumes that Steve is a Christian, but is cool about it. There are atheists like Michael Newdow that tries to impress his ways on the world, but others are able to accept that most of society in this country is Christian.

Unanimous (aka Unan1mous ) - They are Falling Apart and Going Nuts!
In the latest episode of the trash TV show Unanimous (aka Unan1mous ), Kelly decided to call it quits. So the money pot was cut in half. Of course everybody was ticked, except Kelly.
Then they learned that their “outcast” Richard was go…
