In order for the miscarriage to be over sooner (it actually takes months for the body to fully dispose of the dead baby), the doctors recommend a procedure known as a DNC. My grandmother always called it a dusting and cleaning. This reduces infections etc. It is a very serious medical procedure and you are put under anesthesia. There was quite a bit of pain afterward, bleding for up to several weeks, and bed rest for several days. I had a miscarriage and still didn't like going through that procedure. What most people don't realize is that is the same procedure used for abortions. Why in the world would anyone in their right mind go through that when it wasn't medically necessary?
