Racial Profiling Hype!

by @ 7:15 am. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

Surprise! Most people who claim they were victims of “racial profiling” actually were not. Fire & Hammer did a multi-post look into what the definition of racial profiling is and claims from people certain they were victims of racial profiling.

Be sure to read the articles he includes in some of his posts. I think Dennis did some great work on this. Bottom line is that most people claiming they were victims of racial profiling were actually doing something wrong or actually did fit the description of a suspect in a recently committed crime. At worst, most of these folks did not get the courtesy of a customer at a 4-star restaurant and got upset. Officers throwing on a little more of the “charm” may have prevented some of the complaints, but just the same the bogus complaints tie up resources. Maybe taxpayers should be able to sue people who make false claims, to get their tax money back for police/investigator time spent in investigating bogus claims of racial profiling? And maybe I as a taxpayer would not have such thoughts if the people making bogus claims showed a little more “charm” themselves!

There are times when using race as the method for investigation is justifiable. Often if a crime is committed in a room of people the police might check everyone in the room. Well what if the victim knows the criminal was of a certain race and that’s all? Should the entire room be held or just the people in the room of that given race? In such cases I feel it only makes sense to only check people that are of the same race as the criminal.

After you’re done with Fire & Hammer’s analysis, check out this article: The State of the Union’s Mystery Suspect.

Another day, another person crying because their skin is brown!
