The Swedish Government is the first Western government to cave to the demands of Islamic Radicals.

While I’m not one who is screaming “raise the Muhammad cartoons on every corner”, I am against government censoring any media outlet from publishing them. For a government to do so, is to cave into Radical Nuts. For the government of any Western nation to even speak against anyone publishing the cartoons is hypocritical. None of them ever speak out against abusive images of Christ, Buddha or any other abusive image related to faith.

Rather than “bash” with a cartoon I prefer to speak the truth that Muhammad is not the prophet of God and Jesus is the way to true salvation. And plenty of Christians have lost their lives in Arab lands saying that! How long before Muslim Radicals go after TV Evangelists that speak against the Muslim faith? I doubt it will take long. Gay activists already get Christian pastors imprisoned for “hate speech” in some countries. Blog RightFaith shows how American gay activists are already trying to angle attacks at outspoken Christians.

And the “Blame Bush” effort continues. Now Iran’s nutty President blames Bush and the USA for the cartoons.

Of course he says nothing about the fact no Jews are trying to KILL and burn buildings over anyone questioning the Holocaust. Meanwhile, the US Government is appropriately planning how to stick some bombs up his butt. (Attack his nuclear sites.)

Fire & Hammer says freedom is under attack and sees a double standard at play which favors Muslims.

Ken at Oblogatory Anecdotes suggests that the Radical Muslim response is the beginning of an international effort of “Dhimmitude”. It is a very good read and shows that people in many Islamic nations are used to having a double standard that favors them!

No matter if I agree or disagree with what a newspaper publishes, I defend their right to say it.

Christians realize that people who attack our faith are not Christians and so they are not bound to the same rules. If it were done inside of a church building we would remove them, but beyond that we don’t use censorship via force against those who speak against our faith. Radical Muslims feel that everyone must “act like a Muslim”, even when they are not a member of the faith. But then again, their goal is to make everyone a Muslim, even if by force.
