As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not really phased by Hillary Clinton’s “plantation” comment. But the reaction has been far more interesting to me than the actual comment she made. Liberal (see his voting record if you’ve been fooled into thinking he’s a “moderate”) Illinois Senator Barack Obama was on CNN talking with Soledad O’Brien about the comment and he basically agrees with Hillary. He went into details about how he basically sees things as being a plantation, although he avoided saying the word himself. Also he mentioned that it was good for New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin to back away from his race-baited and wanna be prophet comments.
What I find interesting here, is that I think Senator Obama would probably be upset if he heard someone like Hush Rush Limbaugh say the word “plantation” and he were asked about it, before this circus about Hillary saying it. (And we all know Rush has been saying it for years.) Solidad O’Brein, who has a Black Cuban mother had some interesting gestures and statements during her interview with Senator Obama. While asking Obama about the “plantation” comment she chuckled a little. After playing the clip of Hillary standing in a church pulpit making the comment, Mrs. O’Brein said that some of the “owners/residents” took exception to the comments. So I wonder if anyone will also be calling them on the carpet about this? To me this whole thing is a little entertaining. Because it’s partisan bickering over nothing, but still makes for enough race-bait to get plenty of folks upset.
The Political Teen has video of the interview.
All these Democrats are crying because they can’t have their way in Congress. Well Democrats, that’s what happens when you lose touch with America’s values. You lose elections and your numbers dwindle, to the point that you lose much of your power. So while I could care less about who feels they are on a “plantation”, I do feel you need to stop acting like a bunch of crying children. The Constitution does not include the words Democratic Party and Republican Party. So yes, work can be done in government while ignoring your Leftist agenda.
And lastly (but still very important), I must say that it is very interesting how NOBODY is complaining about these NON-MINISTERS being allowed to stand in CHURCH PULPITS. Not to mention churches used to promote candidates, judges and so on. I like ministers in the pulpit and church sanctuaries used for praising and teaching about the Lord. We can talk politics in the church basement and parking lot. But I digress.

Darnell,
I must remind you that it is illegal for politicians to use the pulpit to forward a political agenda………if they’re a Republican.
