Hearing Lawrence Guyot on Sean Hannity’s show today trying to boast of his past work in Civil Rights was pretty lame. He was on the show having a debate with Niger Innis. No matter what Lawrence Guyot has done in the past, he’s a nut today. And I have pointed it out once before in this post. He is not as much a fruity nut as Kamau Kambon, but Mr. Guyot has gone from being a Civil Rights Hero who “made our history” as he puts it, to becoming a Civil Rights Nut. And any history he makes today that is intentionally segregated on the basis of race is our embarrassment. Today, it is Niger Innis who is the one offering ideas and taking stands better suited for the present.
Actually, Lawrence Guyot has gone from being a great American, to a great American nut! Which is why he stands by Ray Nagin’s statement. He also mentioned that he stands by Hillary Clinton’s statement, for those of you who take issue with that statement.
It is sickening when someone does some good in the past, then attempts to hold it over the head of anyone that disagrees with them in the present. It is an intentional attempt to leave their current actions unquestioned, so that they may act with impunity. Mr. Guyot, the past is just that, the past. And in the present you are one sad individual.
update (1/18/2006 5:33PM ET): I just remembered what Lawrence Guyot’s attitude of trying to hold his past accomplishments over someone’s head reminds me of and my response. It reminds me of the movie Guess Who?s Coming to Dinner, when Sidney Poitier got into an argument with his father and said:
|
And for anybody who has not seen Guess Who?s Coming to Dinner, you really need to see it. Even now every single scene in that movie is relative to today. Because we still have people with a mentality from times past.

I Told You Lawrence Guyot is Insane! You Should Already Know Julian Bond is Too.
I’m not going to spend much time on this one, because I’ve spent so much time on this nut in the past in this post and then in this other one. At this point it’s only a matter of the rest of America figuring out what I’ve been…

I completely disagree with this statement. I feel that Lawrence Guyot is a very respectable man and very sane. Just this summer I had a discussion with him about politics and history. While talking he fully explained his stable ideas. He also did what most speakers do and kept his speech bias free. When he made statements to teach he told both half’s of the debates and he can fully understand that. Some people just cant understand others who have more power in this world. People should respect their elders more because they can teach us a lot other than degrading thm for blessing us with their knowledge.

Lawrence Guyot feels we’ll see “all our ancestors” after death. As if they will be the ones to judge me. That is not true, my Bible makes it totally clear. Jesus is the judge and I tell you this OUDCClass14Member, any “ancestor” or person today who does not believe in Him will not inherit the gift of eternal life. Regardless if they were slave or free, none are righteous and without Christ hell and the lake of fire are the reward.
Don’t have “race” as your god, because that’s a false god. Guyot shows he’s not really sure where one goes once “leaving here”. Putting hope in “race”, rather than Christ. Don’t make that mistake OUDCClass14Member.
True “freedom” does not come through the political mechanisms people such as Guyot harp about. Freedom only comes in knowing the Son of God, to be free from the slavery of sin. Rather, be a slave to Christ.
So I’ll respect the Word of God.
