Arizona’s Democratic Governor Janet Napolitano has taken a step in the right direction regarding border enforcement. The state now has about 170 National Guard troops on that state’s boarder working with the Border Patrol. That’s not much, but very much in terms of a good first step. And just that small move has groups that run cover for illegals shaking in their boots. They are happy she did not mention “troops on the border” again at a shortened version of her State of the State address yesterday.
Of course given she is up for re-election, this all could be a plot for Conservative votes. Although the polls show she really does not need more of them to win. Regardless of her motivations, it is good that she did it and I hope she keeps up the effort. Can’t say I know the issues in AZ well enough that I would vote for her myself, but I will say that I do think she’s doing the right thing.
