About David Letterman’s sit-down with Bill O’Reilly. Johnny Carson did the right thing!

by @ 1:04 pm. Filed under Nuts on Parade

David Letterman really setup a great way to gather some money ratings for himself. Have on the guy who gets the highest ratings on Cable TV and try to make him look bad. So what if you’ve never seen his show. Just have him on, trash him and people will talk about it. Meaning more people watch Letterman’s show, his ad rates go up and so on.

So I hear that last night Mr. Letterman had Bill O’Reilly on for a little “chit-chat”. Laura Ingraham played the interview on her show today. I’m not sure how much she aired, but I think I caught most of what occurred from the clips I did hear. And it seems Letterman wanted to attack Bill for attacking moonbat Cindy Sheehan. Problem is that David Letterman has never watched Bill’s show. So he based his attack on 2nd hand information. David said he based his criticism of Bill on “what he reads”. I don’t watch Letterman’s show, because he’s a moonbat Liberal himself and the words that flow from his mouth disgust me. But I did hear clips of the interview before making a comment here. I did not base this post on “what I read”. I actually listened to clips before making a comment. Unlike Mr. Letterman, who actually had someone on for a face-to-face, but never actually checked out their material for himself. If I had a talk with Mr. Letterman, I would at the very least prepare ahead of time, by checking out his most current material. So David showed himself to be under prepared and basically speaking to Bill for nothing more than money rating’s sake.

I heard callers on Laura’s show today talking about how they now will stop watching Letterman. If you did not know what Letterman was about before last night, I think you need some extra schooling. Because since the day Bush became President and even before Mr. Letterman has been a spokesman for the moonbat Lefties. He used to be good to watch when he would abuse himself by doing things like jumping into a bowl of milk. But since those days he has not been of any use to me. Because he’s better doing foolish stunts with his mouth shut.

During the discussion David used the Lord’s name in vain, multiple times. How ironic, a man named “David” using the name of the Lord in vain! His namesake must be rolling in his grave, to know that such a disrespectful person was named after him. David Letterman better be glad the old King David is not alive, because we know old King David did not take kindly to people that did not respect God. I think Mr. O’Reilly should have immediately called Mr. Letterman out on his disrespect of the Lord. Regardless of how they feel about Cindy Sheehan, Bill’s first obligation should be to his faith, given he professes to be a Catholic. He should have cut David Letterman off and informed him that disrespect of the Lord’s name is not going to continue or the little “ratings booster” would end right there.

So in all I feel the late Johnny Carson did the right thing many years ago. Back when he was leaving his late night show David Letterman was doing the show just after his and wanted that 11:30PM spot on NBC. Johnny would not let him have it and David ran to CBS, where he has been since. Seeing how David Letterman is now, I think Mr. Carson was very wise in refusing to give the position to Mr. Letterman. Because Mr. Letterman was not worthy of the honor. None of us understood WHY Johnny Carson dissed Letterman back when he did it, but it all makes perfect sense now!

update (1/5/2006 2:36PM ET):
I forgot to mention, Laura Ingraham mentioned on her show, that before Bill came out David Letterman swirled a pencil he chews on in the water mug set out for Bill to drink from. If that is true, it really shows how big a piece of pond scum Letterman really is.

This exchange between them really sums things up well:

Transcript: O’Reilly on Letterman

O’REILLY: Our analysis is based on the best evidence we can get.

LETTERMAN: Yeah, but I think there’s something, this fair and balanced. I’m not sure that it’s, I don’t think that you represent an objective viewpoint.

O’REILLY: Well, you have to give me an example if you’re going to make those claims.

LETTERMAN: Well I don’t watch your show so that would be impossible.

O’REILLY: Then why would you come to that conclusion if you don’t watch the program?

LETTERMAN: Because of things that I’ve read, things that I know.

O’REILLY: Oh come on, you’re going to take things that you’ve read — even with what say about you? Come on. Watch it for a couple, look, watch it for a half hour. You’ll get addicted. You’ll be a Factor fan, we’ll send you a hat.

LETTERMAN: You’ll send me a hat. Well, send Cindy Sheehan a hat.

O’REILLY: I’ll be happy to.

O’reilly has the full 11 minute clip on his site. Lettermen was talking out of the side of his butt and showed just how truly ignorant he is on this matter. The sad part is that most of the moonbat left follows the sae lead as letterman in that they only read half the story then draw their conclusions rather than getting all the information. Such is the moonbats.
