Today the Wall Street Journal ran an article covering how wireless companies are finding a new customer base in the immigrant market. The WSJ takes a very soft hand towards illegal immigration, so the article never actually says the words “illegal immigrants”. But two sentences from the article lets you know that illegals are the true target market.

I make a big distinction between legal immigrants and illegals. As I’ve explained before I have no problem with legal immigration and think it is a good thing. But it is clear that these new marketing efforts are being made to illegal aliens. Legal immigrants have identification and usually have a fixed address. The major wireless companies are not the ones doing this, since they require customers to wait months before making international calls. Resellers of wireless services are the ones targeting people who have no identification (illegals).

I usually don’t say much about private companies that sell goods and services to illegals and most people focus attention on companies that hire illegals or give them public services. But private companies targeting illegals with goods and services is something that everyone should be aware of. Because although resellers are targeting illegals in their customer base (they never say it explicitly) the major carriers are ultimately running the services used. This means any effort to crack down on illegal immigration will have an impact on the bottom line of the entire wireless sector. That potential impact is going to eventually cause wireless providers to become more overt in supporting illegal immigration. Meaning, the more illegal immigration is allowed, the more private companies cater to them, the more private companies will become dependent on them and more companies will support illegal immigration.

Allowing illegal immigration has caused a self feeding cycle, where private companies will depend on illegals and tax payers will see their money going to services for illegals. Companies will show more support to candidates that are soft on illegal immigration. President Bush was Governor of Texas for 2 terms. He never put the National Guard on the border while he was Governor of Texas and many of the same issues being faced on the border now existed then. Only now we better realize the threat of terrorism coming over our borders, which makes matters worse. Imagine how much this wireless access helps terrorist and criminals make calls to support their illegal and deadly activity! The large influx of illegals has created a market for a service that is a criminal’s dream.

Companies will continue to want light enforcement of illegal immigration. Which is why the WSJ already reflects a soft hand when it comes to people violating our nation’s borders. (And overall the WSJ is better than many of the Liberal rags out there.) The longer illegal immigration is allowed, the harder it will be to stop it.

I don’t think anything more needs to be said other than job well done to all that fought to make this happen. We cannot allow another “Borking” of a good conservative. And because of plenty of hard work, all Liberal efforts were thwarted!

Just a little over 2 weeks ago I mentioned here that she was starting to show signs of recovering from a stroke. But I guess it was her time to go. She apparently died in her sleep, given her daughter Bernice King was unable to wake her this morning.

Needless to say, there is massive media coverage, as their should be for the wife of Martin Luther King Jr. and of course she performed plenty of work herself. Living here in Atlanta we are hearing from plenty of people that knew her well.

One important thing that should be mentioned, is that while it is true there is disagreement in the King family about how to handle the affairs of the King Center, they love each other very much. It is a disagreement of opinion, but not a family feud.

Coretta Scott King (aka Mother King) was the main driving force behind Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday becoming a national holiday. Proving that she had the ability to influence the nation even after her husband’s passing.

What those reports don’t mention, is that she successfully raised 4 children as a single mother, while many parents have trouble raising one child today. I think that’s just a sad example of how times have changed. Despite any disagreements I may have had with some of her views she was a strong woman. I would see her from time to time at a church I used to attend. She was not an “Easter Sunday only” kind of Christian. She tried her best to do what she felt the Lord wanted her to do till her death. And everyone should respect her for that. Regardless of whether you agreed with her views or not.

Lastly I must mention, there are plenty of people saying things like “she’s seeing Martin now”. But to be theologically accurate, she like Martin awaits the last trumpet. Paul best described this in the following verses.

I pray she rest in peace with the Lord.

While checking out blog The Universe and Other Things, I came across this link to a post in The Siegrist Blogs. It is a write-up from independent journalist Robert Young Pelton. He is the man who had the very first interview with American traitor John Walker Lindh. In it Mr. Pelton rips Lindh’s father (Frank) to pieces for trying to trash him and exposes John Walker Lindh as the true al Qaeda member that he is! Not a member of the Taliban.

Reading the piece my jaw was firmly connected with the floor. Because it was Robert Young Pelton who claimed years ago that John Walker Lindh was just a kid with no ill intentions towards America, that was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Here is what he was saying in March of 2002.

I always felt those words from Mr. Pelton were simply rooted in Liberal media bias, given the traitor was found on the battlefield with the enemy. And for years I’ve been defending my position on this while my detractors were able to hold up the words of Mr. Pelton as their proof that I was wrong.

Well now Mr. Pelton is coming clean, taking off the gloves and anyone who felt I was wrong has lost their foundational witness. He is now my own foundational witness, to the truth that John Walker Lindh is a traitor to America, an al Qaeda member and should have been treated like other enemy fighters. Not at all like an American with a trial on US soil.

When I read this latest write-up from Mr. Pelton, I simply had trouble believing that he actually wrote it given his previous position. So I found Mr. Pelton’s web site. And it just so happens that he has a message board there. Where he posted (using account ID “RYP”, his initials) Frank Lindh’s attempt to smear him and in a later post in the same thread he post his response, less than 2 hours later. It seems that Frank Lindh’s attempts to get his son clemency have also ticked off Mr. Pelton. So now he’s coming clean with the whole truth.

Democratic attempts to run a filibuster on the vote for Samuel Alito have been defeated. David Kopel reports that the filibuster attempt was busted by a vote of 72-25.

In other Alito related news, Liberal Republican Senator for Rhode Island Lincoln Chafee says he will vote against Alito, although he did not support a filibuster.

I hope Senator Chafee is defeated in his party’s next primary election.

update (1/30/2006 6:25PM ET): Expose the Left, the blog formerly known as The Political Teen has video of Senator Edward (I lost her in the lake) Kennedy having a COW over Samuel Alito. Senator Kennedy, nobody likes an angry drunk!

A new video has been released of kidnapped journalist Jill Carroll. She is requesting the release of the rest of the female Iraqi prisoners. (So apparently they all have not been released.) Reports mention that there are 5 more in custody.

The release of 5 must have brought her some time. But now will officials stand by the “no negotiations with terrorist” policy? Although I want Ms. Carroll released I hope they do not negotiate any further with these kidnappers. It will only result in them doing more kidnappings and other terrorist activity.

Here in Georgia the state legislature has been debating an issue that is really a twisted mess. And all of their proposed solutions miss what really matters most. In short the debate is over Cobb County’s rules for deciding who will attend a newly built school. The county’s rules include a race-bait clause, that mentions the racial makeup of a school should not be changed whenever school redistricting is performed. What this would mean is that students near a newly built school would not be able to attend that school because they have the wrong skin tone. They would have to continue going to a school further away from their home in the name of “diversity”. The affected students happen to be White.

Of course in modern times where race neutral things like location are used to determine school redistricting and anyone of any race can live most anywhere, a rule that plays on race is a bad idea. It results in school enrollment being based on race, instead of students being able to attend the school closest to their home. In this particular case Republican House Rules Chairman Earl Ehrhart’s child would probably be attending the new school in the future, if not for being born in the wrong skin tone as some of his neighbors (White). So he proposed a bill to ban Cobb County from being able to use race as a factor. While his efforts are very much self serving I agree with him. Because his efforts will stop a practice that is simply wrong.

When I was in grade school the local government changed school district lines so that I would have to attend a school much further away from my home. All in the name of “diversity”. So I’ve had personal experience in this redrawing of lines because of race. I did not like it then and I still don’t like it as an adult. Even if a few kids are sent to a school that is further away because it is “better” than the school near them, it does nothing for the masses of children still at the school closer by. Educational efforts should involve making schools better, not trying to shuffle a few kids around in the name of “diversity”. It should be parents that have the ability to move their kids if they feel the need.

OK, so now you know why I’m so much against populating schools based on race. And why I agree with the effort to change Cobb County’s rules in this regard. Well you know the race hustlers do not want something to be race neutral. And one particular race hustler jumped up. I consider her a hustler in training, because she’s a young NAACP member and state legislator. She’s not as “seasoned” as some other race hustlers in this state. Democratic State House member Alisha Thomas Morgan declared that changing the rules to not include race would bring back “segregation”. She also made personal attacks towards Chairman Earl Ehrhart. This got her a swift rebuke from House Speaker Glenn Richardson. He had her mic turned off and then informed her that she was violating House rules.

The bill passed in the House and this week it goes to the State Senate. I expect race hustling nuts like Democratic State Senator Vincent D. Fort might have something stupid to say. (He is loved by the NAACP and ADF, need I say more?)

Now that I’ve gotten that all out of the way, I must say that the entire debate is junk! These legislators should be working on a way for parents across the state to be able to decide where their children attend school. If you watched John Stossel’s 20/20 report called “Stupid in America”, you saw how this effort by legislators to force kids to only be able to attend a single school is terrible for fostering competition in education. It allows some veteran teachers to rest on their laurels and not feel pressed to do their best job. His report did not mention how terrible parents are a major factor in schools being bad, it focused on what schools and officials could do on their end of things. And the report did show a whole lot that schools could do better. The number one issue being school unions. Given Unions make it very hard to get rid of bad employees.

Schools in America need to reflect the competition and choice available in other parts of America’s free market system. As Mr. Stossel’s report showed, it does work.

This first month of 2006 has seen a spate of unprecedented media attention to on-going border breaches such as drug smuggling tunnels and Mexican Army incursions. Deceitful Mexican government officials have disavowed any knowledge of such breaches, instead presenting laughable theories of “American soldiers disguised as Mexicans”. Even our own Secretary of Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff, has covered for the Mexicans by dismissing border incursion as mere navigational “mistakes”. (He’s failed to comment on the gunfire from said “lost” Mexican soldiers.)

No one is fooled. Our border agents continue to risk their lives confronting heavily armed Mexican soldiers and smuggling gangs, while our own American citizens living on the border continue to petition our government for security - to no avail. Two American states, Arizona and New Mexico, have declared a state of emergency in their states, as the financial and societal obligation of caring for illegal immigrants crushes their economy and resources.

In four states, the two above plus Texas and California, the new majority is the Hispanic, though mostly illegal. Such a disparity between law-abiding, tax-paying American citizens has caused the unconscionable situation to develop that the minority now pays for the services and support of the majority.

In the meantime, trillions of American dollars flow out of our economy and into Mexico’s in the form of tax-free cash remittances from illegal labor. These cash disbursements are the largest form of income for the country of Mexico:

Three years later, the number of illegal Mexicans in America is higher than ever, their impact on U.S. social services even more draining, and the free income is flowing ever-faster into Mexico’s coffers. Think of it, their largest source of income costs them nothing in terms of infrastructure, research and development, education, and social services! They export their poorest, neediest citizens (at no cost to themselves) and sit back to wait for the free income to flow. No wonder they feel the need to ease their citizens’ illegal entry into America by providing handbooks and maps - it has a direct impact on their economy! What other income-producing activity could they undergo that would require no construction, no training, no law enforcement, and no responsibilities whatsoever to their citizens? Why would they want to curb a free and very lucrative income? The illegality of it bears no consequences or costs, so the Mexican government has no incentive to fix a system that works wonders for them!

I do not know how much longer we can afford to single-handedly support an entire nation through second-hand disbursements. The trillions of American dollars that boost Mexico’s economy are trillions of dollars not strengthening our own. Possibly even more important, the cultural impact of the burgeoning class of illegals is superseding American traditions and values and having a severe impact on our elections and government.

Our country was founded upon the premise “of the People, by the People, for the People” - and those People are constitutionally meant to be AMERICANS. Yet, foreign interest lobbies are having an ever-increasing detrimental effect on our local, state, and federal government as non-citizens are accorded most of the rights and privileges of American citizenship and garner actual governmental representation. This corruption of the intent of our Constitution has been allowed through the steady erosion of our national sovereignty.

Today, there are an estimated 23 million Mexicans working and living in America, according to Vicente Fox, who claims he is the leader of 123 million citizens: 100 million in Mexico and 23 million in America. Is it any wonder that he and like-minded special interest lobbies feel the RIGHT to demand more and more from our acquiescent government? Americans watch incredulously as they get most of what they demand, at our expense. To our shame, our nation’s government has abdicated our rule of law concerning national sovereignty and national security.

We now have a large foreign presence within our borders that is NOT American, has no intention of ever becoming American, has no regard for American law, nor loyalty to America. This is akin to hosting a nation within a nation - and worse, one that is loyal to a foreign power.

You don’t achieve this level of greatness by listening to classmates, that claim to do well in school means you are “acting White“. And you don’t win this award via an Affirmative Action program. I’m sure Kayla is not watching BET’s “Beef” series today, as she prepares to qualify for the state competition in March. But for all you losers in life, right now BET is airing some of the greatest Hip Hop “Beefs” of all time for your “Black entertainment”.

Jesse Jackson has basically beaten (no pun intended) the man who tried to thwart his shakedown of Toyota.

Many of the details about Jesse Jackson’s shakedown of Toyota are not mentioned in the article, but are in Ken Timmerman’s book Shakedown. In the book Mr. Timmerman details how Jesse Jackson started with complaints about a Toyota advertisement, to gain access to people in Toyota’s management structure. Mr. Jackson then took issue with the lack of “diversity” on Toyota’s board of directors. A Toyota representative explained to him how the company is based in Japan, so having “diversity” on their board would involve having someone on the board who is not from Japan (American). This is a typical Jackson trick, that he uses to try and get himself or his cronies on the boards of major corporations.

Given that trick did not work the way Jesse wanted it to, a “diversity consultant” friend of Jesse’s named Greg Calhoun demanded $1 million to resolve things. This shakedown attempt was refused and then Mr. Calhoun sued Toyota for “breach of contract” and Jesse fired up his rhetoric. After that Toyota caved and put a couple of Jesse Jackson’s cronies into a “$300 million equity offer”. Jesse then became involved in their “diversity” plan and called off his boycott.

Of course if the issue was Toyota’s advertising content, them changing the ad and an apology would have sufficed.

So Jesse wins that court battle, but even Martin Luther King Jr. knew that Jesse Jackson is a fraud.
