Terrell Pough went out of his way to help the older classmate he had known for just a short time.

He got him a job, drove him to school, bought him lunch and even tried to find him another job when the first fell through.

And how was he repaid?

With a bullet to the back of the head, cops say.

Riggins apparently was angry at Pough for not tracking down his lost pay from a Popeye’s Fried Chicken that closed down. Pough had gotten him that job and Riggins allegedly thought Pough should have used his managerial connections to help him get his money.

Pough’s former manager at the Popeye’s Chicken inside the Gallery Mall, said Pough, like Riggins, had not gotten his last pay from the now-shuttered Popeye’s restaurant, which was on Broad Street near Allegheny Avenue.

The manager, who would give her name only as Bibi, said that after Riggins lost his job, Pough tried to get him another gig at New Orleans Chicken in Germantown, where Pough had worked for two weeks before his violent death.

Police said they believe that Riggins was the triggerman and that Rosario was with him. The two are also charged with stealing Pough’s Honda, which cops found four days before the pair was arrested.

police described Riggins as a troubled teen who had a record of seven arrests: for drug possession, assault and auto theft. Riggins was never convicted of any of those crimes, according to court records.

Bibi said Pough had been planning to offer Riggins a job at New Orleans, but apparently Riggins rarely showed up for class.

Bibi said Riggins stopped going to school. “I’m guessing that’s why Terrell didn’t see him. Terrell always went to school.”
