It’s put up or shut up time in Congress!

by @ 5:39 pm. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

Given all noise from Liberals and Democrats playing political games, US House Republicans that do not want to cut and run are pushing for a vote!

They are pushing to vote on a resolution from Democratic Congressman John Murtha of PA, that says the following:

Resolved, that it is the sense of the House of Representatives that the deployment of the United States Forces in Iraq be terminated immediately.

Once this resolution dies we can see where each member of Congress stands! This will show all who are against America fighting terrorism in Iraq just how much support they do not have! I’m sure those crying about the war will make excuses when even some of them vote against this resolution. There will be a lot of “I didn’t like the wording” from people that claim to be against the war now, but will vote against this resolution. Anyway, they can’t say they didn’t have their chance. We are about to see who the real fringe Left is in the US House of Representatives! Because they are the ONLY people that will vote “Yea”. Of course Murtha will vote for it because it’s his resolution.

And this will end all the talk about Bush not having authority to continue this effort!

update (11/19/2005 12:04AM ET): John Murtha did not propose this particular resolution, but his efforts to call for troops to withdraw inspired it. That and other actions by Liberals against the effort in Iraq.

The Resolution to pull troops for Iraq loses big!

403 against, 3 for, 6 present and 22 no votes. That seals it! The effort in Iraq continues with strong support from the US House of Representatives!
